Love how all those white, blond girls and boyz on FOX "news" are saying Kamala only got where she is because of her skin color. The truth is Kamala got where she is in SPITE of her skin color. I can't wait to cast my vote.

It’s a great thing but due to their own ignorance, Republicans are threatened by people who have such values. It’s like when they pushed back on Sotomayor’s confirmation for the Supreme Court saying she was too empathetic.

It's a negative thing because Republicans hate diversity; we know that by looking at their party members. They hate equality; we know that by looking at their policies which only help the ultra-rich at the top. And Republicans also hate inclusiveness; we know that by looking at both their members and their xenophobic policies.

They hate in in the same way they hate "woke", which refers to being enlightened.

At least they're finally admitting out loud that they are the anti-equality party, which they've been for a long time now. The only boxes they think a political candidate should check are "wealthy", "white", and "male".

You are certainly right about the "wealthy", "white", and "male". And the older they are the worse they are. Many men today are like Vance think women should be home cooking, cleaning, and pregnant at least one baby a year. If you husband is a violent person that's your problem you married no divorce. Maybe this is why some women never marry and some who do don't have children. I love my four children not so much my husband he lives on the in the south, I live in the west and we get along fine.

As a matter of objective reality, if everything went by merit, we would long ago have had our first Black president, our first woman president, our first Jewish president, and so forth, because of MERIT. Yet reactionaries can no more understand this then they can count to twenty without taking off their shoes.

As always a very good comment. No one in the MAGA cult, NO ONE AT ALL, comes even close to Kamala in intelligence.

It's shocking to me that so many can say out loud that she's a DEI hire while overlooking her amazing qualifications, education, and accomplishments. WTF is wrong with these people beside having their heads up places they should not be?? You'd think they'd be sick of the dark by now.

Virtually every vice president has been a "DEI hire," or as it used to be called, a,balanced ticket. Trump hired Mike Pence to add a religious choice to the ticket. The practice goes back to the beginning of the republic, when southern candidates, usually from Virginia, added northern veeps, because that was,the diversity that was most important in the Founders' politics. Washington with Adams. Jefferson with Burr. Madison and Monroe with now forgotten men from New York or Massachusetts. But now Trumpartisans pretend to abhor this tradition because it has expanded to include candidates who aren't male and aren't white.
