Tennessee Republican House member Tim Burchett called Vice President Kamala Harris our “DEI Vice President.” DEI is diversity, equality, and inclusion which many companies in this nation use in programs to hire fairly. For Republicans, it’s an evil like woke, drag queens, and Critical Race Theory.
While claiming Vice President Harris is a DEI hire, Tim Burchett…
…yeah, this guy…is stating that Harris is unqualified and was only hired because she “checks boxes,” such as being a black woman.
Other racist Republicans are using the DEI claim against Harris. The New York Post has called Harris the “first DEI president.” Chip Roy, a Republican MAGAt House member from Texas said that Democrats must “choose between a mentally incompetent president and a DEI vice president.” Fox News’ Jeanine Pirro, who’s always reliable for a racist comment, said that Harris “has proven to America why DEI doesn’t work.”
It’s weird that Republicans in Congress are claiming Harris is unqualified. She was the District Attorney of San Francisco, the Attorney General of California, A United States Senator, the vice president, and now the presumptive nominee of the Democratic Party who is currently tied with Trump in the polls after having only been in the race for three days. If Harris is unqualified, then so is Burchett who entered Congress at the same time as Harris and is the same age. What makes Burchett believe he’s qualified and Harris is not? It wouldn’t have anything to do with race and gender, would it?
Hakeem Jefferson, assistant professor of political science at Stanford University, said “We’re in a moment right now where those on the right are obsessed with race between the anti-critical-race-theory stuff and the anti-DEI push.”
Laura Loomer, a self-proclaimed “journalist” who’s a Trump sycophant claimed on Twitter X that Vice President Harris isn’t really black. Loomer, who’s argued that Harris isn’t qualified because of her parent’s citizenship status at the time, is about as hateful and racist as they come. Loomer is also using the DEI attacks on Harris.
James Lance Taylor (not the “I’ve seen fire and I’ve seen rain” guy), a professor of political science at the University of San Francisco said the Black community knows “DEI means n-word.”
DEI does mean the N-word when referring to a Black person, but it means so much more. Burchett, who used DEI as a dog whistle toward Vice President Harris also used it to describe Kimberly Cheatle, who resigned as director of the Secret Service yesterday, as a “DEI horror story.” He did this just yesterday during a House committee hearing.
Koritha Mitchell, author of From Slave Cabins to the White House said, “Americans are not honest with the fact that they have a hard time seeing merit when it doesn’t come in a straight, White male package. All of us have been socialized to think in ways that have us ignore credentials, qualifications, temperament, and good judgment in women, especially women of color.”
Denise Hamilton, a corporate DEI strategist, said that more brazen racial rhetoric may be good in the long run. She said, “It’s important to know who thinks I am unworthy of existence.”
Ms. Hamilton, you already know who thinks you’re unworthy of existence…Republicans. They already think you’re not worthy of voting rights since they’ve gone back to creating laws restricting your right to vote.
So which is, Republicans? Does DEI refer to just every Black female hired for a job, or is it for EVERY woman hired for a job?
The irony within all of this is that their presidential nominee is the least qualified to be president.

Love how all those white, blond girls and boyz on FOX "news" are saying Kamala only got where she is because of her skin color. The truth is Kamala got where she is in SPITE of her skin color. I can't wait to cast my vote.
Excellent toon and blog...I had to goggle DEI, why is this a negative ting?
