Totally agree with your assessment regarding the 2024 election and will push it beyond the popular vote. If Kamala and the DNC play a really good game they could run the table. Need to get the young, the moderates and independents to come along with the core of their progressive block.
Clay, what those pundits blathering about polls aren't telling you is this, in most polls, when asked about the election for POTUS, anything from ten to eighteen percent were sitting on their hands saying "I don't like either candidate". When you don't give those double haters a choice, they just blurt out a name.
That's not meaningful for eighteen weeks into the future.
Trump is the known phenomena who has been campaigning for years. Now all his campaigning is upended and he's the old guy running. Harris is going to attract women and people of color, while Shapiro (most likely VP, IMHO) will soothe the hurt feelings of old straight white men.
Given the situation, you will not have a meaningful poll until polls are taken entirely past the post Democratic party convention bump, which means they'll arrive about September 15. That's just how it is.
Remember this comment when those polls come in, and you can either call me a prophet or an idiot. We'll see in six weeks.
