Dear leader needs to take a flying f**k in a rolling donut into the ocean and drown. In a little over 8 weeks he has managed to not only destroy the country in many ways to also to disgrace us in ways we could not have imagined. Even if we got rid of him and the rest of the Repugs out of the WH and the Congress undoing all this damage would take years. Oh, one more thing the Muskrat talks about the bad immigrants coming into this country. He needs to look in the mirror a little more. This man is a Nazi and should be stripped of his U.S. Citizenship and returned to South Africa HE DOESN'T BELONG IN THIS COUNTRY EVER!!!!

Where is Rubio? Where are the literally millions of people who personally fled or whose parents fled from authoritarian countries? How can they look at themselves in a mirror and go along with POS and his billionaire handlers? What cowards they have become!

Grenell, the openly Gay former Ambassador & now dir at the KenCen? The KenCen had a “all are welcome here” ad on their FB page? That one? Who owns Substack? Who’s on their staff & board? Am I becoming too paranoid since this is the place we go for truth & justice & the former “American Way.”

I lived in Tito's Yugoslavia in the late 60's and remember RFE. While, thanks to Tito, Yugoslavia was not an Iron Curtain country, we were only too aware of the communist neighbors (we never really saw) along our border. I haven't thought about it in years but I am not surprised to read about it's future, or lack of one.

Today it is raining steadily and reading this morning's Axios AM newsletter about the Democrats (lack of) leadership has not helped dispel the gloom.

It's not so much been a lack of leadership as leadership stuck in the past and unwilling to change.

Politics in any system that has actual elections must follow the wishes of the majority, NO MATTER WHAT. The public has no taste for being lectured to by politicians about vastly popular items, they don't want to be told it's immoral or unethical, they want what they want and THEY WILL ELECT PEOPLE WHO PROMISE THEM WHAT THEY WANT.

The majority doesn't want to give citizenship to "undocumented aliens" who have lived here for X many years, they want them gone. All of them. EVERY SINGLE ONE. You can make an exception for the Dreamers if you must, but observe for yourself just how successful the decades long campaign for the Dreamers has gone.

Resisting that rule about following the majority has cost the Democratic Party an infinite amount of goodwill and actually damaged the people they were trying to protect. Or do you think ANY elected Democrat would be as cruel as the current R's we've pushed into power by fighting for the rights of a group that CANNOT VOTE?

The party has to follow the voters, not the other way around.
