My word Clay, you and I are too peas in a pod for all you wrote. I do not generally grieve celebrities' passing except for Jim Henson and Robin Williams. James Earl Jones is in that category. Thank you for this wonderful, heart-felt obit.

I think there was a legit disturbance in the Force before this occurred. I went and bought some Star Wars coffee mugs on eBay, one of which prominently features Darth Vader, a couple of days before this happened. I try not to buy too many things with evil characters on them, or evil characters' Funko Pop!s, even though I collect those, but something told me I needed this mug. Then this happens. What a wonderful actor, and what a loss.

Great blurb, Clay. The soliloquy on baseball is so touching. Thanks for including it.

Wonderful - what a great tribute!! And thank you for directing us to the cartoon for Betty White! I didn't follow you back then (what the hell was wrong with me? How did I miss you??) so I hadn't seen it until today. It made me cry - as a dog rescuer and Betty lover, it was perfection, Clay! <3

I remember that scene in THE HUNT FOR RED OCTOBER when he said to the US sonar controller on our sub ("that torpedo exploded prematurely and ...(showing his CIA DIRECTOR credentials) .... I was never here."
