I have seen "Wivers work" and agree with your perception. Thanks for the background on him - makes me dislike him even more.

Haha. Wivers. It would be funny if that caught on.

Before Wivers got unmasked the first name that popped into my head was Tom Stiglich.

Oh, c'mon, Weatherford and Varvel just put out absolute far right fantasy land crap. Bok isn't much better, but Weatherford is just not even understandable. As for Payne, read what he produces in his day job. He's just churning out garbage that he's told to churn out, he doesn't believe any of it or else he's a world class liar in his writing.

You really shouldn't overlook Lisa Benson, Ramirez, Goodwyn, Kelley and Gorrell. All have faxes on which they receive the day's slime from the RNC.

Gingrich had a "blastfax" operation that sent the "talking points of the day" out every morning to all the RW writers and editors. That's why they got into the habit of just echoing each other.

Payne as in painfully stupid. I stopped reading his stuff, it's just another form of the dumbing down America.

It is painful, or PAYNEFUL. It's nearly random nonsense.

When the market went down, Kamala was blamed. Was she praised when it rebounded? I think not.

Good cartoon, for sure! I remember back in the early '80s when I worked at a big brokerage firm and the brokers were like manic-depressives, up & down emotionally all day long depending on how the market was doing. Very hard to work for! I never cared since I never owned any stock until I left the company, worked for an insurance company for the next 28 years, and they gave us a 401k. I still never cared. It wasn't enough $$ to live or die over. And I learned over the years that what goes down eventually goes back up again. I also went to Cagle 'toons and looked at 'Wivers' stuff - what a jerk. I'll stick with you, Clay!! :)

Takes a lot of strength to NOT GOOGLE "Wivers", I'll just your word about him.

Yes! As an older person who has been thru many years of stock markets, when the market is making REALLY BIG MOVES based upon ONE bad report or data point, and there isn't really any other REALLY BIG REASONS for the huge drop or jump...you should not be surprised when the next day's EMOTIONAL reaction is opposite.

I’m so old I remember when Wivers posted with his real name. Some days I regret voting to open The Connected Internet to commercial use. Others, I skip over stuff a lot.

Great toon. I knew the right wing cartoonists would use it, especially when their Orange Messiah blamed it on Harris and said I told you so. Both are so predictable there's really no reason to spend precious time reading their stuff.

Numbnuts FuckerMcGee, that's a great moniker to tag on raging assholes. Mind if I use it? When a metaphor ickes someone out it means it's a factual comparison as in Trump's existence is like a puss infected bag of dripping cum, both have no redeeming social value and are useless. I can see the influences of Don Martin, Sergio Aragones and Jack Davis, I was an avid Mad Magazine reader

Anyone getting excited about anything less than a 3% swing in the market is just being stupid. PERIOD! The DOW has done that many times and NOT signaled a crash.

Right now the market is north of 39,000 on the DOW. 3% of that is about 1200 points on the DOW.

Crap writers blathering about nothing because they're paid to tear down the Democrats.
