I saw on the CBS Evening News that some authors and publishers are planning to sue the state of FL because of their book bans, saying it’s an infringement of free speech. The argument from DeSantis is the books aren’t technically “banned,” but just “under review” until the board makes a decision, but I didn’t hear a mention of a timeline for a completed review. So, yeah, as soon as a book is challenged, it’s essentially banned.
