Pretty good laugh for the Betty White heaven bucks.

That didn't take long to be noticed.

Pete Rose could do no harm with the Phillies fans I grew up around. I'm not a baseball fan, so I never heard the issues with his favor to sex with young girls. I always learn something new when reading Clay's blogs. And so it goes, excellent toon and blog...love the betting cards.

I knew very little about Pete Rose except the gambling (I'm not into sports except sometimes basketball, but baseball is my least favorite) and now I know way more about Rose than I ever wanted to know! Thanks (?), Clay, for always educating me! Yeah, if there's a Hell, let's hope he burns there!

You nailed it, Clay.

I've no idea about the requirements to get rejected from Heaven. Guess it depends on who you ask.

If you'd recall, Roy Moore's accuser (one of them) said her mother encouraged her to spend time with him, that she should be proud that such an important man was interested in her.

So, I dunno. It is what it is.

Just MHO, Rose knew what he was doing, he was not incompetent or incapable of assessing the risks, and one of those risks was not getting into the Hall of Fame (or Heaven). He choose to take those risks, and any outcomes land squarely on him, nobody else.

He does serve as a good reminder as to how many people worship sports stars and will excuse any bad behavior. It's very much the same sort of cultish behavior we see with the MAGA's and Trump.
