Excellent cartoon and the blog entry spells it out very well. To me, your writing about your cartoons and their rationale(s) is the extra value we get for paying attention (and subscribing). Most of the examples of weird FB shit had just been poorly filed away in my memory. You create a framework for understanding it from "50 thousand feet" as they used to say, and links together my memories of the stuff I've seen over months and years.
I virtually don't use it at all. I sent messages to my family during the time I was working in Iraq, but that was quite a while before DJT and his evil imps Putin and Cruz poisoned the platform.
I predict FB/Meta will die a slow death over the next couple of decades. The future of social media will be invitation only platforms like Discord. Or maybe Tumblr.
There's a "Zucker" (read as: MAGA voter) born every minute! And it's the "Zuckers" of the world who believe those lying posts and memes.
By the way, I haven't seen most of the ones you listed because I tend not to use most social media, especially the big ones. And you're right, social media seemingly tries to protect the posts of Fascists and those who support Fascism far more than they protect anyone who criticized Fascism. In fact, that is the very reason I let my paid account lapse on GoComics and eventually stopped patronizing their website altogether. I think it's too funny that those Nazi-fluffers finally disabled the comments section entirely. Maybe if they had moderated it properly they wouldn't have had to do that. Oh well.
Also by the way, the only thing that could get me to by tickets to an Oasis concert is if Rowan Atkinson was on the tour as 'Mr. Bean / the 3rd Gallagher brother'.
Oh, I enjoyed beating down the tardbillies that were posting on gocomics.
But, one less spot for them to spread lies is a good thing. Their crazy BS is ruining lives every day.
I'm going to LOL and LOL the day after the election when Trump loses big both ways. UnTruth stock will drop to its natural point, namely negative, and many supporters of the Trump/Nazi party will lose every cent they own. I consider that to be just good news all the way around, they lose every cent, they can't donate any more, and just MAYBE they'll stop supporting this grifting huckster that bankrupted them.

FB is horrible at times and there is no way to prevent the offensive and bad posts, reels or ads. The stupidity of FB bans is removing posts from Mutty Paws when they post photos of the horrific things people have done to animals and they have to come in a request donations. No, Mutty Paws does it because no on would believe the vile things humans do to animals - and then FB refuses to give Mutty Paws their donations (ps I have nothing to do with MP I’m using it as an example). I use this to illustrate how idiotic your banning and post removals are on the various platforms. Please keep up you great cartoons and blogging. Not to be dramatic but you help me survive the misinformation.

GoComics helped me get through the dark days of Trump's presidency and I share cartoons with some like minded friends.
