When Elon first purchased Twitter two years ago, he said, “For Twitter to deserve public trust, it must be politically neutral, which effectively means upsetting the far right and the far left equally.”

He told Fox News at the time, “The goal of new Twitter is to be as fair and even-handed as possible. So not favoring any political ideology.”

As the Joker asked mobsters in 2008’s The Dark Knight, “What happened? Did your balls drop off?”

No, what happened is that Elmo couldn’t contain his zeal for fascism and misinformation.

A month after purchasing Twitter, Musk released documents he believed to be smoking guns proving that Twitter was suppressing “free speech.” None of the documents proved anything. Elmo, as usual, was full of shit. He made a lot of noise about the documents but when you read them, they didn’t prove his claims.

What we learned is that Elon is full of shit, just like when he promised Twitter would be neutral. As The Thompson Twins sang back in the 1980s, “Lies Lies Lies Yeah.”

Since purchasing Twitter and changing it to X and killing the blue bird, Elon has echoed and repeated hate speech. He gave Trump a private platform to air his lies which should probably be registered with the FEC as a campaign donation. He restored thousands if not millions of accounts that belong to Nazis, white nationalists, antisemites, and other assorted racists. He changed the platform to highlight tweets by Trumpers.

For example, looking at my news feed right now, the first tweets I see are from Elon, Donald Trump Jr, Marjorie Taylor Greene, Laura Loomer, Piers Morgan, Kevin Sorbo, James Woods, Joey Mannarino, Juanita Broaddrick, Nancy Mace, Leading Report, Catturd, Donald Trump, and Rob Schneider. Yes, Deuce Bigalow is a Trumper and I wouldn’t know that if it wasn’t for Elon. What’s weird about me seeing all the tweets from MAGAts and very few from liberals is that I don’t follow any of them. In fact, it’s rare when a person I do follow shows up on my timeline.

Elon has rigged Twitter to support Trump. He talks a big game about free speech, and he allows your speech on his platform, but he suppresses it.

Elon and his followers believe hate speech and lies are “free speech.” They’re not. They believe it’s a Constitutional issue when a non-government platform deletes speech. It’s not. It’s not unconstitutional for you to kick a Nazi out of your house.

Elon also pushes conspiracy theories and Trump’s lies. Last weekend, he did it live at a Trump rally.

On Sunday, Musk told the crowd in Butler, PA, at the same location where a sniper tried to murder Trump’s ear, that he’s “Dark MAGA.” He was wearing a dark MAGA hat. He also told the crowd that if Trump loses, this will be the last election ever.

The fact is, it’s Republicans who are suppressing votes. It’s Trump who promised to “cancel” the Constitution. It’s Trump who tried to steal the last election. It’s Trump and his supporters who tried to install fake electors. It’s Donald Trump who called the top election official in a state he lost and demanded he be given the state, saying, “I just want to find 11,780 votes” which was the minimum number needed to overcome Biden's advantage in Georgia. It was Trump who threatened the Secretary with prison time, saying, “You know, that's a criminal offense. And you know, you can't let that happen. That's a big risk to you.”

So, no…elections will not end under a Madam President Kamala Harris.

Musk first attached himself to Ron DeSantis, then Vivek Ramaswamy, and now he’s literally leaping for Trump at his rallies.

Why should we listen to Elon on who to vote for? He once told us Trump wasn’t the right candidate to lead America. Why should we listen to a man who a guy who decreased the value of Twitter by over 80 percent single handedly? Although, his appearance at the Butler hate rally did make Trump Stock’s value to skyrocket to $18 a share. Wow.

MSNBC anchor Ayman Mohyeldin said of Elon Musk, “The man once seen as a tech visionary, a real-life Tony Stark, will now be known as the man who traded in his reputation and self-professed principles to become nothing more than a reactionary Lex Luthor in a MAGA hat.”
