Free Speech Brouhaha
The so-called free speech absolutists and champions are deporting people for what they say.
Over the past four years or so, MAGAts and other assorted right-wing fucknuts were crying about being censored and having their right to free speech taken away.
They claimed the Biden administration was making Twitter remove their content before there even was a Biden administration. Never before had we seen Nazis cry so much. Even after Elon bought Twitter, he produced the so-called Twitter files proving that Twitter was censoring and being controlled by Biden, except the files didn’t prove anything.
I said all along that these idiots don’t know what free speech and censorship are, and now they’re proving me right and proving that they’re a bunch of hypocrites because they’re not just censoring people for exercising their right to free speech but punishing them.
Rümeysa Öztürk, a doctoral student at Tufts University in Massachusetts, was nabbed off the streets last week by six plainclothes officers. One was wearing a hoodie. Isn’t that what Trayvon Martin was shot for?
Öztürk was walking alone Tuesday night to meet friends at a dinner where they would break their 13-hour Ramadan fast. That’s a horrible time to get snagged by ICE because they probably didn’t feed her until she was in Louisiana. She was already in Louisiana when a judge ordered that movement to be stopped. Doesn’t that sound familiar? My question here is, since a judge ordered ICE not to move her to Louisana, then why is she still in Louisiana?
We have a video of her being snatched by mask-wearing goons, and a lot of people find it disturbing. Someone off-camera is asking the “officers” why they’re wearing masks. Why are police in our country wearing masks?
Yes, they sent her to be detained in Louisiana, just as they did when they grabbed Mahmoud Khalil in New York City. Khalil is facing deportation for being a part of student protests at Columbia University. The Trump regime claims that Khalil’s prominent role in the protests amounted to antisemitic support for Hamas, yet he still hasn’t been charged with a crime. Öztürk hasn’t been charged, either.
Öztürk is originally from Turkey and is in this country on a valid F-1 student visa. Khalil is a legal resident. He was arrested on March 8 and is still being detained in Louisiana without charges. Trump wants to build a deportation facility at Guantanamo, where they hold people without charges for years.
The Trump regime cited a seldom-invoked statute authorizing the Secretary of State to deport noncitizens whose presence in the country threatens U.S. foreign-policy interests. The Secretary of State is Marco Rubio, who is an idiot with less backbone than a slug. You may recall him from his position on the couch, where he sat silently next to JD Vance while he was screaming at Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky.
Rubio is an idiot, and when asked about Öztürk, he cited an Op-Ed she wrote in March 2024 for the Tufts school newspaper.
He said, “If you apply for a visa to enter the United States and be a student, and you tell us that the reason why you’re coming to the United States is not just because you want to write op-eds, but because you want to participate in movements that are involved in doing things like vandalizing universities, harassing students, taking over buildings, creating a ruckus, we’re not going to give you a visa.”
Since there are no criminal charges or any accounts of her doing the things Rubio accused her of, we have to believe she was arrested because of her Op-Ed. In her column, she criticized Tufts’ response to a student government group’s call for the university to divest from companies with ties to Israel because of the conflict in Gaza, among other demands.
Marco Rubio, like most of Trump’s hires, is not qualified for his job. Remember the Signal leak from last week? Marco was on that with all the other morons. He’s also a piece of crap.
Marco once claimed his parents fled Fidel Castro’s communist Cuba to seek freedom in America, but he lied. His parents left Cuba before he was born and before Castro’s revolution.
Rubio’s maternal grandfather, Pedro Victor Garcia, did flee Castro’s Cuba and arrived in the US without a visa. You know, illegally. An immigration judge ordered him to be deported, but that ruling was reversed on the same day. A few years later, after the Cuban Adjustment Act passed, a law that allows any Cuban resident to become a legal resident, his grandfather applied and was approved.
But if Marco Rubio was Secretary of State at that time, he would have deported his grandfather’s ass back to Castro.
If Marco had a conscience, he would stand up against Trump and be willing to get fired. Marco is taking rights away from foreign students that allowed his grandfather to stay here.
And they’re losing their rights because they exercised their Constitutional right to free speech. Trump didn’t deport the tiki-torch Nazis who protested in Charlottesville chanting, “Jews will not replace us.” One of them even murdered an anti-racism activist, Heather Heyer. Weren’t they giving support to Nazis? And Trump didn’t deport the white nationalist terrorists who attacked the Capitol on January 6, 2021. No deportations, just pardons.
Marco, the man you’re working for right now is more like Castro than Reagan…and you are too. You’re helping Donald Trump turn America into Cuba.

Dear Lordy, not sure if you heard my screaming laughter just now from Philadelphia, PA😲🤯😳 Thank you for, again(!), so stellarly exhibiting the beauty of editorial cartoons: how just *one* line of dialog can mean so SO much MORE🥹 Keep up the fantastic work! I may not be able keep track of Every Damn Thing happening every day, but I never lose track of your new cartoons😍🖖
So like Trump’s German military service evading grandpa, Rubio’s grandfather wasn’t terribly ethical either? And Rubio I’m guessing hasn’t seen a visa application. Or contemplated what his grandfather would’ve written. We need intelligent intelligence people.
