Agreed: "Voting Republicans out of office next year is the least we could do for Rob."

Cartoon depiction is spot-on.

Well said, Clay, and very clever toon. It is beyond pathetic that Trump cannot rise above his own “derangement,” hasn’t the ability to be compassionate or empathetic, when it’s most called for, and is ruled by his own obsessive greed and hatred.

He’s truly hideous.

TDS did not kill Rob Reiner (RIP), but it has been killing the GOP since 2015.

As I've said before, I grew up in a Republican family. While the Republicans I knew were more conservative than I am, they were also decent, respectful human beings. They were not vile pieces of shit who engaged in unprofessional communications on the daily. The Orange Shit should have been 86ed long ago.

We know there are at least 77.3 million trump voters ....with TDS???

We also know there are at least 75.01 million American voters not siffering from TDS - they voted for VP Harris.

I won't mention the other 3rd party voters....but....

I want to know what the 90 million registered voters who did NOT to vote in this last election were suffering from.

Anger and outrage at the Democratic Party, which has been determined to play the political game in the 21st century as if the only rulebook they have came from the 1970's. A football team that played from the 1970's rulebook would be a joke. So would a baseball team, a basketball team - the rules change over time. And the Democratic Party leadership has ADAMANTLY refused to recognize the changes.

They refused to "be political" and fire Merrick Garland, and replace his lazy dumb ass with someone who would get to work and subpoena Trump and get his ass started testifying and on the way to jail.

They refused to "take a risk" and get rid of the Two Track system in the Senate (which is the no talk filibuster, and they won't even give it the right name, more on that later) and excused themselves with "oh, what the Republicans would DO if we got rid of that". Gee, tell me just what they aren't doing? What aren't they doing? Maybe Schumer could answer that? Where do you go from troops in the streets of US cities and masked men seizing people on the street? Did Two Track stop them? (Just ask Gemini, it knows what Two Track in the Senate is.)

They refused to tax the oligarchs, don't bother to reinstate the AMT for billionaires or corporations, oh, hell, they didn't even remove the tax break for offshoring! And that gets put back up in the House every session!

https://www.congress.gov/bill/119th-congress/house-bill/995/text

Look at THAT! Just look at it! Fa god's sake, they won't even pass a bill that stops REWARDING companies for offshoring? And yes, they had four years to pass it. Funny how that works, eh? That keeps right on being reintroduced and they keep right on ignoring it.

OMG! Do you begin to understand why I'm deeply ASHAMED of the Democratic Party "leadership"? If you can call it that!

It sure looks to me like the FIRST thing they do is check with the billionaires, then they check with the Republican top dogs and THEN they look at what their voters want. Yeah, we are dead last. And then they wonder why so many stay home when they just freaking sneer at us and say "R's are worse, do you want them running things?"

I haven't even mentioned the Israel mess, or the utter contempt the older party top dogs show towards anyone under 50. OMG!, the #3 guy in the DNC was a high end social media star, young, well liked by youth, over a million followers. So, of course, David Hogg had to go because he wanted the party to be RESPONSIVE AND ACTIVE! Again, look it up!

Crap, look at this!

https://www.youtube.com/live/0cYo8zps7NI?t=15147s

Could you emit more contempt for young Democrats if you tried? That was just a few days ago, do you remember the clamor of Democratic Party leaders chewing out Clinton? Former Presidential candidate that brought in Trump, remember her? Golly gee whiz, I musta missed all that denying that the candidate for POTUS a few years ago speaks for Democrats!

Just being able to say "we aren't fascists and we don't hate gays" isn't much of a reason to turn out and vote. Really! And I'm over 70, one of those "most reliable" voters, and I'M doubting if it's worth the bother, since the Democratic Party seems absolutely DETERMINED to just play to run the clock another four years and do nothing else.

Hell, I got mad and started spiraling, didn't finish about why they won't say "Two Track" instead of "nuclear option that ends the filibuster".

It's really simple. Just rename "Two Track" with "no Senator ever has to take a vote they don't want to take" and you get the idea. No risk, no courage, nothing but voting for budget passage and renaming post offices, maybe vote yes on appointments (if the POTUS is determined to follow the old rulebook) and take a massage in that big underground spa they built. Have a nice subsidized steak dinner while you're down there, with wine, doubtless, and talk about how the voters just don't understand why the oligarchs need to pay zero taxes. After all, that would limit how much they can spill out in DONATIONS!

Two Track is nothing but a way to make elections meaningless, because it means any ONE person can force a vote of 60 to end that imaginary "debate" they started by sending a note to the front of the room!

I wish I had the ability to get a march of millions started on Washington, all of them carrying signs reading "END TWO TRACK". It would do us a world of good, IMHO, if nothing else we'd get to see these old pols stand up there and talk till they damn dropped on C-SPAN.

I used that third party trick to get a 4F in 1971. I had a scarily low lottery number and went in to my draft board talking about myself in the third person. I got as far as strip, bend over and spread your cheeks. In those days, I went commando. So I bent over, stuck my index fingers in my mouth and spread my cheeks. I was sent to talk to a shrink and convinced him through my behavior that were I to be drafted I would be more trouble than I was worth.

" He likes rocks. Rocks are his friends. When he sits on a rock, the rock doesn't care. He likes rocks." I had been living in a cave (actually a talus field) for three or four months, conditioning myself. The problem came when I had to relearn first person and expressing myself using it. Tuli Kupfenberg was my savior. The doctor at the draft board said that if I could convince two other medics, I would easily qualify for aid for the totally disabled. I admit now I was faking it and avoiding the army and a trip to southeast Asia. Not having a podiatrist and being a dirt bag climber in Yosemite, I resorted to depersonalization. What's Trump's excuse?

If his niece's analysis is correct, he was depersonalized the minute he exited the womb. The damage is evident in that entire family. Mary Trump's maternal DNA must be her saving grace.

Yes there is a Trump Derangement Syndrome. I have it and am proud I do. Yes Trumphuk is a POS — he is simply demented diarrhea demonstrating his debilitation. Rob Reiner opposed Trumphuk and was clear on his reasons why. Reiner understood that Trumphuk was directly and explicitly out to destroy America’s democracy.

For Trumphuk to assail Reiner in his crude, derogatory and offensive manner demonstrates true derangement: Trumphuk is the embodiment of derangement.

If we are to profit from this great loss we need to unify, organize and actively oppose the brazen Tangerine Tyrant and make sure that this time he is convicted for his inhumanity. Comer, Jordan, Johnson, JDV, RFK, the 2 Stevens (Miller and Bannon) I've got a little list and they really won't be missed... all of them! Rob would approve our misuse of his and Michelle's death. We can mourn later. And celebrate the Reiners by not being shocked. Instead we should be outraged. And vocal about it.

Clay, that's exactly right. Trump's a lump that looks like I took a dump. Feeling poetical today, if you consider that poetry. LOL.

You might (or might not) want to read my answer to Ada up above here, I kind of let my frustration with the Democratic Party run free for a while there. Some days I wonder why I turn out for people that seem determined to ignore the new reality and just play to hold the line for four years. I want to see some ACTION, not just passive aggressive "Oh, you terrible people, I'd say you are awful but you wouldn't like that and FAUX would be mean to me so I just can't say that!"

How did we ever wind up with such a mess of wimps? Fifty years of Two Track in the Senate ensuring they never had to take a risk is a big part of it. (Yes, I've taken to calling it by the correct name, because they've managed to poison the usual shorthand for it.)
