They’re sure protective of their own privacy. Not that they care one bit about anybody else’s.

Funny you noticed that. This is one of those things that what's good for the goose is not necessarily good for the gander.

"Women should decide what to do with Mitch's body" wish that I'd thought of it first

I agree that the Weekend at Bernie's trope has been done to death, so to speak; but in the memes, the dude bros propping him up never speak. The GOPers' lines here could be actual quotes.

Yes, Clay took the trope and added a few details to make it original commentary rather than a mere rehash of memes.

Thank you.

I got my Pizza Rat t-shirt today. It is high quality and fits perfectly. Can't wait to wear it out and see how many people recognize it.

well, as with most things, Clay, your sense of irony and your sense of humor have come together to make a 'funny' cartoon....if anyone deserves a poke at them it is certainly McConnell....Our current national situation with a band of Fascist crooks, Grifters and professional Liars running our country can be laid right at his motionless feet. ....on the other hand...if the guy is dead or dying maybe we ought to just let him drift off to pergatory and try to forget him and everything he stood for.

I agree with everything except the "try to forget him ..." part. We need to look carefully at all the loopholes and lies that he and his co-conspirators have used to destroy our democracy and then make sure that the next Congress closes those loopholes, impeaches and convicts the violators so that they can never hold office again. We should never allow politicians to play "poli-tricks" on us. Seeing the GOP in action for the past 10 years has taught me how naive we all have been about how hypocritical and vicious the GOP are about laws and "norms". McConnell should be forever listed as one of the architects of the fascism we are currently experiencing.

Hey Clay

So as far as the obit cartoon goes, which sources are trusted to report the death?

Clay Jones's avatar

When Fox News reports he's dead, he's dead. But seriously, I would trust any major media outlet.

Clever and funny--"par-tay" really got me--and so typical of the way things like health are covered up.

Mum's the word (which may even be accurate here--who knows?!).

We can always count on there being no transparency whatsoever!

To the chagrin of the Republican party, the one turtle trait Mitch didn't have turned out to be the ultra-long lifespan.

I'm loving all the Moscow Mitch jokes I've been hearing. Like the one about the Grammy nomination for "Mitch McConnell Unplugged".

Nice that Don Boy could spare a few flies to hang out with Mitch. 👍

Maybe Xi is debriefing Mitch's wifey on more ways to consolidate China's position in the world since the Orange Turd's regime has frittered away the USA's dominance and goodwill. She has had questionable ethics regarding her family's businesses while she held public office. She conveniently stepped away after the Jan 6, 2021 debacle and the Turd's blatantly racist comments about her, and has seemed to focus more on business. Given the seemingly transactional nature of the marriages of GOP politicians I am not surprised that she didn't hightail it back to the USA after Mitch's heart attack. Maybe she didn't want to be accused of accelerating his decline because he has sure looked "poorly" as my grandmother would say.
