Again - I cannot believe how low the US has fallen. I accidentally turned on a news broadcast which had a clip of the orange one speaking with a Kennedy Center backdrop and for about three minutes he krowed and kackled about how people called him a dictator. Seriously?

I spent the weekend watching LOTR reactions. I just cannot take his garbage. Neither can my blood pressure. Every single minute listening to him raises it. How the hell can those idiots around him stand it?
I totally get it. We're all burned out on being subjected to the Burnt Orange. Do what you have to do to pace yourself and maintain your sanity. It would probably do all of us good to occasional deprive That Creature of the attention he so desperately craves--while surreptitiously keeping one eye on him to monitor him.

Yes, defend, defend, DEFEND! I have been posting angel paintings on my FB page, that I have painted over the years, one a day since May. I didn't know that I had painted so many angels. There are plenty more to post. Where are all the real ones hiding? We need warrior angels or aliens, I would take either. I do believe that good conquers evil, but when, when, WHEN!
I think covering this idiot has to be exhausting for all who report the news. After 10 years of reading his name or hearing about him in some capacity, I am sick to death of the guy, but my livelihood does not depend on covering the news, and unfortunately, he IS the news. I would have thought that at 7 months (is it only 7 months?!) into this term, things would have calmed down a little. I was deluding myself. When there are multiple stories daily that are connected to that idiot/his administration, that often means it’s necessary to cover at least one of them. It’s a recipe for burn-out, which I suspect, is what they’re counting on. Personally, my news viewership/readership is WAY down from where it was during his first term. Sometimes, I feel guilty about that, because I think it’s important for all of us to be informed, but I can’t deal with the chaos anymore. I can understand your dilemma, Clay. The idiot and his toadies are in the news constantly, and your career depends on reporting the news. But at the same time, reporting on this administration can and will suck the life out of you. I say, if you have to take a day, or even several days, of not covering all that nonsense and incompetence, do it! For yourself and your own creative spark, ignore him for a bit. He’ll still be there when you want to revisit what he’s doing, more’s the pity.

She had all the applications in for extending her visa as a permanent resident due to marriage, which is always granted. They went to honeymoon in Puerto Rico, which is a domestic flight and requires no passport or visa. ICE picked her up on the return trip and held her for more than a month. HE STILL SUPPORTS TRUMP!
Can you imagine? He has seriously considered leaving the US to be with his wife, and HE STILL SUPPORTS TRUMP.
Keep on doing what you do as tiring as it is. If you are looking for hypocrisy and cheating and abuse of power Trump has it all and the public needs to see this on a daily basis.

You would have to find a way to draw the issue/action without drawing him. Example? on the 'federalization' of DC maybe have some National Guardsmen commenting on how stupid it is?? or something like Garry Trudeau did with Bush (?) just the words not a depiction of him. Make something a representation of him. Concentrate on other big things that are being drown out by him?? Sorry, not my line of work and I know you don't want to be a copy cat but maybe it will get the ideas going.
