JD Vance called President Biden’s “garbage” comment “disgusting” and wrote on X, "Kamala Harris and her boss Joe Biden are attacking half of the country." But just a day or so ago, he downplayed the “garbage” comment from a Trump-supporting comedian who said at the Madison Square Garden MAGA rally that "Puerto Rico is a “floating island of Garbage.” In regards to those comments, JD said we “have to stop getting so offended at every little thing,"
JD is a liar. Kamala Harris didn’t call anyone garbage and said last night that she’ll invite her enemies to have a “seat at the table.” Also, Biden’s comments were a gaffe.
Biden was commenting on the comedian’s comments calling Puerto Rico trash and said, “The only garbage I see floating out there is his supporters — his demonization of Latinos is unconscionable, and it's un-America.” The White House quickly cleaned it up and Biden did as well later. That comment isn’t Biden’s style and the Republicans know it, but why start telling the truth now?
Marco Rubio said he understood why some people would be offended by the comedian’s comment but said, “Those aren’t Trump’s words.” Today, he’s claiming every Democrat believes Trumpers are garbage…but those weren’t Kamala Harris’ words.
Do you detect hypocrisy? Republicans are howling that Kamala called Trump a fascist while Trump is calling her a fascist. Republicans do expect to have it both ways.
Republicans are OK with a speaker at a Trump rally disparaging Puerto Ricans as trash, but they don’t like it as much when they’re called trash…even if they weren’t. Republicans who call us “snowflakes and tell us not to be so politically correct or easily offended are constantly looking for reasons to be upset and offended. It’s like every day is the WAP song for them.
JD Vance and Trump are both fine and well with a white comedian calling Puerto Ricans “trash.” What they’re not OK with is calling white conservatives trash. Their criticism of Biden’s comments is another display of their racism, except they’re too stupid to catch it. Trump said the MSG rally featuring several racist comments was a “lovefest.”
It’s also weird that Republicans will scream about Biden’s gaffe while ignoring the rest of the statement as though that never happened.
Two things you have to remember about Republicans: First, Republicans are hypocrites. They can call you trash but you can’t call them trash. If you accuse Trump of being a fascist, then you’re encouraging assassination attempts, but if he calls you a fascist, it’s all good in the MAGA hood.
The other thing to remember about Republicans is that they project. Everything they accuse others of doing, they’re doing themselves. Cheating at elections? Yep. Taking bribes from other nations? Yep? Going to destroy the country after being elected? Oh, hell yes.
I was at the vice president’s rally last night and it was incredible. It’s too bad they let Joe Biden out to undercut it so we have to spend the day, and maybe until next Tuesday, defending something that didn’t happen. Joe Biden would never call fellow Americans trash. Good god, he’s even friends with Lindsay Graham.
Joe Biden would never call Trump supporters trash, but I will. Anyone who supports Trump after all the chaos and bullshit we’ve been through with him is trash. Anyone who would vote for that racist is trash. Anyone who would vote for a man who allowed over a million Americans to die from a virus he ignored, downplayed, and gaslighted is trash.
You are all a bunch of trashy MAGAts. Yeah, I said it. And if you think that’s bad, wait until you read what my fans call you in the comment section.

A great post & cartoon today, Clay! I worry about our little pizza rat being so close to those disgusting vermin in the trash bin - he might catch something from them!
I was reading a post on our local "Nextdoor" site this morning and a woman posted that she'd watched Kamala's speech last night (and don't believe it) and that KH had been horribly divisive, was causing us to hate each other, was going to harm the country with her hatred of Republicans, etc. etc. and a shit-ton of people agreed with her about how she was tearing the country apart with her horrible speeches, has no plans for saving the country if she's elected, and they're terrified of what kind of havoc Democrats will do if tRump wins because we are all so angry and dangerous. I'm convinced his supporters are all either missing some (or many) brain cells, or there is something else seriously wrong with them.
Clay calling MAGA trash is a compliment, you are being uncharacteristically kind to them which they do not deserve. Along with their revolting Messiah every breath they take is a waste of oxygen and humanity would be better served if all the breath would just leaked out of them. People are known by the company they keep and those they support. Since their Messiah's existence has no redeeming social value it stands to reason there is no redeeming social value to their existence.
