Trump Think
Donald Trump is not thinking about you
Donald Trump is not thinking about you. Don't take my word for it, take his.
“I don’t think about Americans’ financial situation. I don’t think about anybody. I think about one thing: We cannot let Iran have a nuclear weapon. That’s all.” Trump told us last June that he obliterated Iran's capability to build a nuclear weapon. Of course, this wouldn't be a problem if he hadn't torn up the nuclear agreement that Iran had with the United States and five other nations, which the Obama administration had crafted.
Trump said this to reporters as he was boarding a plane to China. And on that plane were billionaires like Tim Cook, Elon Musk, Jensen Huang, Stephen Schwarzman, Larry Culp, and Larry Fink. Other executives on the trip included Meta’s Dina Powell McCormick, Cargill’s Brian Sikes, Micron’s Sanjay Mehrotra, Qualcomm’s Cristiano Amon, Visa’s Ryan McInerney, Mastercard’s Michael Miebach, Illumina’s Jacob Thaysen, and Coherent’s Jim Anderson.
Trump said on Truth Social that he would ask Xi to “‘open up’ China so that these brilliant people can work their magic.” Their financial situations, he thinks about. Your financial situation, not so much.
Another individual who made the trip on Air Force One to China was Donald Trump Jr, who has business interests in the nation. Did MAGAts forget their outrage over Hunter Biden's business in China? Did they forget their outrage over their lies that Joe Biden had business interests in China?
Gasoline now averages over $4.50 a gallon, which makes it the highest price in four years, thanks to Donald Trump's chosen war with Iran. Food prices are also up nearly 4%, electricity and utility bills have climbed, airlines have raised fares by more than 20%, and inflation rose to 3.8% in April. But Donald Trump does not think about Americans’ financial situation.
Trump said he was thinking about their financial situation back during the presidential campaign when he promised to lower prices. But apparently, he wasn't thinking about it when he raised tariffs at ungodly rates. After he raised tariffs, Donald Trump said affordability was a hoax.
Trump recently speculated that prices could go lower, “or the same, or maybe a little bit higher” by the midterms, which shows that he really doesn't care. And why should he care before the midterms if they're going to steal every congressional district anyway?
What Donald Trump cares about is his ballroom, his arch, the reflecting pool, and everything he can get his name and image on that we pay for. Of course, he's also thinking about his own business interests and corruption. Remember, Trump is still grifting while he's in the White House.
On Tuesday, Trump said, “When this war is over, oil is going to drop, the stock market is going to go through the roof, and truly, I think we’re in the golden age right now,” Trump said. “You’re going to see a golden age like we’ve ever seen before.”
That's because he's pissing on us.
Creative note: As soon as I heard Trump say that he doesn't think about Americans’ finances, the concept of this idea entered my brain. I had the basic idea of Trump thinking about the ballroom, his arch, and the reflecting pool. That meant other cartoonists would have it in their heads, too. Usually, if I think something is obvious, I will abandon the idea and let others have at it. But another option is to continue with the idea, but twist it in a way that others won't think of, which is what I hope I did here. We will see. What do you think?
