I’m going to be honest with you. I’m not that up on Snoop Dogg. I don’t know his music. I have heard it but I never got into it. I’m more into music that has hooks, melodies, and guitars. But I don’t denigrate music just because it’s stuff I never listened to, like many MAGAts do with Taylor Swift, proclaiming on social media with pride that they don’t know a single song of hers as though it’s an achievement. I never saw an episode of Game of Thrones, The Sopranos, Squid Game, and only a couple of episodes of Breaking Bad, but that’s not an accomplishment.
I can’t name a song of Snoops but I do know one of his albums is called Doggystyle.
But I am very aware of Snoop Dogg because I can’t get away from the guy. He’s everywhere. Good luck watching anything on TV without seeing him every 30 seconds.
Snoop Dogg has appeared in commercials for T-Mobile, Corona, Burger King, Dunkin’ Donuts, General Car Insurance, Skechers, Hot Pockets, Old Navy, Pepsi, Wonderful Pistachios, Tostitos, SodaStream, and one that is the most appropriate, King Size Rolling Papers. There’s probably a bong out there he’s endorsed.
Snoop is all over the place and it’s getting to the point that he’s played out and overexposed. The guy even has a college football bowl game named after him. Seriously, there’s a Snoops Bowl. I’m starting to think the guy doesn’t actually have opinions or care about what he puts his name on, and there’s no loyalty here. He has endorsed both Skechers and Adidas. Make up your mind.
I think Snoop appears where the money is which is why after criticizing Donald Trump for years, he’s now performing for him. Scoot over Elon, there’s a new asskisser at the party.
In a 2016 interview with Rolling Stone, Snoop said he had “never seen a motherfucker” like Trump and asked, “How could we have someone as reckless as him running our country?”
In 2018, Snoop criticized Trump supporters, including Kanye, saying, “I don’t give a fuck. I tell ’em straight up, motherfucker. If you like that n—a, you motherfuckin’ racist. Fuck you and fuck him. Now what?”
He also said in that same interview, Mr. Dogg said, “Kanye too, n—-a, don’t forget about him too… fuck you too! “Throw him in the bag too because he’s right there with the motherfuckers.”
In 2017, the cover for a Snoop Dogg EP shows him holding a gun while standing over a dead body draped in an American flag, and the body has a toe tag reading “Trump.”
In a music video in 2017, Snoop Dogg is shooting a clown dressed as Trump.
There was no confusion in how Snoop Dogg felt about Donald Trump. So what changed? Donald Trump is still a motherfucker.
Snoop Dogg performed at a pre-inauguration party for Trump called the Crypto Ball and performed in front of Trump, Speaker Mike Johnson, and other Republicans. Snoop went from being a member of the Crips, being arrested for possession of cocaine, and being signed to Death Row Records to performing for Republicans. I can see Mike Johnson getting jiggy with it.
Congratulations, Snoop. You are now the establishment.
And don’t tell me that you never listened to him, because that’s not a factor or the point. It’s not about you. It’s not about me. It’s about this nation and the direction it’s going in. Snoop is just another sell-out surrendering to Trump and the oligarchs.
Nelly will join Snoop at another Trump ball on Monday, after the inauguration. It must be the money.
Never-Trumpers selling out their dignity to Trump isn’t new. There’s Ted Cruz whose wife was insulted by Trump who also accused his father of murder. JD Vance, who once called Trump “America’s Hitler” will be sworn in as vice president on Monday. We can’t forget Elon Musk who went from criticizing Trump and backing two other candidates in the primaries before pumping $277 million into Trump’s presidential campaign and becoming his ass remora. If you see Trump’s ass, you’ll see Elon attached to it. I didn’t think there would be a bigger surprise than Jeff Bezos surrendering to Trump in advance, but this Snoop Dogg thing is unreal.
The tickets for the Crypto Ball start at $5,000 and can cost as much as $1,000,000.
Trump, who said he’ll never have a dog, just got one.
It must be the money.

The insatiable hunger for more money money money money. They just can't have enough. Oligarchy Plutocracy ... Bernie Sanders has been saying it for years. Here it is front and center.
I am not surprised. Snoop and the other thug rappers have long glorified misogyny, obscene wealth and guns in their lyrics and videos. Listen to their lyrics and watch their videos. They were/are no different than Trumpers and MAGAts who flaunt their AR-15 type assault weapons, gas-guzzling vehicles and bimbettes that look like they are auditioning for roles in porn videos. Just switch out the type of guns, type of vehicles, modify the melanin levels a little bit and you can get your MAGAt sellout in a rainbow of colors as this past election showed. People need to stop being shocked that black, brown and Asian celebrities can and will be sellouts to the rich, powerful and corrupt. They want to get their slice of the pie instead of crumbs. We as consumers fuel their infamy by supporting their lifestyles when we buy the merch they hawk and rack up their notoriety on social media. Rappers, musicians and other artists that speak truth to power don't want to owned by corporations who will promise them lots of money and more fame if only they debase themselves by performing for the corrupt elites. Snoop will tack on a few more minutes of fame/infamy and take his money to the bank, smiling and snickering while working class folks struggle through their lives with dignity. Stop giving him and his MAGA sponsors the oxygen of your time, attention and money. Use it to support struggling people, especially artists who work for the benefit of everyone instead of the privileged few.
