Trolling Liar
What's Elon lying about now?
Since Elon Musk purchased Twitter, which is now X, the platform has become a cesspool of lies, hate, misinformation, conspiracy theories, and bullshit. Nazis and MAGAts love it with many of them believing Musk is a champion of free speech for giving them a platform to spread hate. But a huge portion of all the lies and hate is coming from the man himself, Elon Musk.
Elon often reshares hate and lies from other users along with posting his own hate and bullshit. The lies Elon shares are always the kind of stuff he can easily look up, but he either refuses to or enjoys lying.
If a Biden critic sees a post claiming that the president sleeps in a racecar bed, they’ll reshare it without fact-checking it because they will want to believe it. The sad thing is that liberals are just as bad, choosing to believe a lie because they like the way it sounds. Also, it’s true Biden sleeps in a red racecar bed, and his snores sound like vrooms. Look it up.
But Elon’s lies are dangerous and probably a good reason Donald Trump is being sworn in on Monday. Thanks, Elon (that was sarcasm).
The Center for Countering Digital Hate (CCDH) found that Elon’s election lies got 1.2 billion views between January and July last year. Imran Ahmed, the head of the organization said, “Since Elon Musk took over X, the platform has devolved into a hellscape of hate and disinformation — much of which comes from Mr. Musk himself.”
Last July, Speaker Mike Johnson posted on X/Twitter that Democrats want to turn “illegal” aliens into voters. Elon reshared the post and added, “The goal all along has been to import as many illegal voters as possible," This is a lie that was viewed over 45 million times.
Elon also stated that it takes, "less than five minutes and zero documentation" with the help of an app to be approved as an illegal immigrant and flown to the US at American taxpayers' expense. This is another Elon lie, which got over 20 million views. MAGAts want to believe lies like these.
In September, Elon shared an AI image of Vice President Kamala Harris in a red communist outfit with a hammer and sickle on her hat and stated, "Kamala vows to be a communist dictator on day one. Can you believe she wears that outfit!?" This lie quickly went viral, reaching more than 80 million views. The fact is, it was Trump who stated he wants to be a dictator, which will begin Monday.
Last October, Elon posted that there are more registered voters in Michigan than there are residents. Of course, this is another easily debunked lie.
During the negotiations to prevent the government from shutting down and defaulting on its loans, Elon tried to stop it by lying. He claimed the bill gave lawmakers a 40 percent pay raise and contained $3 billion for a Washington, DC football stadium. If Elon’s going to lie about the budget now, how much will he lie while chairing the fake DOGE Committee to make suggestions about federal budget cuts? Every single one of Elon’s recommendations will have to be fact-checked because he’s a lying goon. You just know he’s going to invent numbers, like claiming taxpayers are spending $28 trillion to buy new shoes for Nancy Pelosi, or some shit like that.
While California has been fighting wildfires in Los Angeles, Elon tweeted that Governor Gavin Newsom legalized looting. Believe it or not, there are millions of people dumb enough to believe this. The fact is, it’s Elon and Trump who will be looting from taxpayers.
Musk had also been lying about California running out of water and interviewed a fireman live on X/Twitter, who then debunked Elon’s lies.
Elon asked the commander of a firefighting unit, “In the Palisades, there was a shortage of water at a certain point, or is that not accurate?”
The firefighter replied, “There was water, we have water reservoirs,” and stressed to Elon that too many fires burning at once resulted in low water pressure, with some firefighters unable to battle blazes.
He explained, “Just an example, if we have one building burning, we can flow 1,000 gallons (3,785 liters) a minute on that one building. We were flowing an amount of water that the system could not … it was overbearing, just because of how much water firefighters were utilizing.”
And then Elon stopped recording because the answers didn’t fit his lying narrative. How dare someone tell Elon the truth to his face.
Elon will destroy this country and others for his fascist racist transphobic agenda. He’s threatening anyone who challenges the Trump agenda. He’s calling for new elections in the United Kindom and for the arrest of Prime Minister Keir Starmer. He’s tweeting that the United States should go in and save the UK’s democracy. he’s backing Nazi-supporting groups in France and Germany.
You would think Elon’s posts were coming from a 13-year-old Nazi and not the richest man in the world with 213 million followers.
President Biden warned us about oligarchs having too much influence in our government, and Elon is the main one he was talking about. Elon, who invested $277 million into Trump’s election, isn’t doing any of this for the greater good, but only for Elon. Elon is threatening to pay candidates to primary Republicans who aren’t Trumpy enough.
This is the end of our democracy when one oligarch decides who’s in power.
Creative note: I drew an X/Twitter post by looking at one, Elon’s specifically. You would think I’d have to search for at least a few seconds to find Elon’s page, but nope. Just hit the home link and one of his posts, or several will be at the very tippy top, and all the ones under are from goons like Laura Loomer, Donald Trump Jr, Kevin Sorbo, Jon Voight, Marjorie Taylor Greene, Catturd, goon etc, goon, etc…
Friends and family in LA: I have been thinking about my family and friends in Los Angeles and the surrounding area, from cartoonists Lalo Alcaraz, David Brown, and Michael Ramirez, to my step-brother Richard, and my niece Megan, and many other friends. I wish you all the best and to remain safe.
As promised yesterday: Here’s the story of my exchanged pleasantries with an editor from a rightwing news outlet. As you probably know by now, a political cartoonist was arrested on Wednesday and it’s in all the news. I read several articles on this and some of the details have changed from story to story, so nothing has actually been confirmed yet. However, several articles describe the cartoonist as a “Washington Post cartoonist.” This is wrong and I knew it was wrong the first time I saw it. I just rolled my eyes when I read it. But…one of those that got that detail wrong was a MAGA outlet in New Jersey that attempts to disguise itself as a legitimate news site.
This outlet is the Shores News Network. What they did was politicize it, as though anyone who doesn’t like Trump is a pedophile or some shit like. Their headline reads, “Anti-Trump Washington Post Cartoonists Arrested On Child Pornography Charges.” The thing is, the cartoonist being anti-Trump doesn’t have anything to do with this. Why is it part of the headline?
So, I sent a message to the outlet because I am not good at eating bullshit. The method to contact them was to use the email link on their contact page, which didn’t list an individual. I didn’t know who would write me back or if anyone would.
What I wrote isn’t very nice, but they’re MAGAts, so I don’t care. I wrote, “I'm Clay Jones, a political cartoonist. Your reporting on this story is very sloppy. He is NOT a reporter for The Washington Post. Also, why is "anti-Trump" in the headline? He's a political cartoonist who covers many issues. All you did was copy someone else's reporting. It's disgusting that you're trying to politicize this, as though this is a win for MAGA.”
I got the reporter part wrong and I don’t know why I wrote that, but the story was nearly identical to several others I read. Also, there was no byline, so I don’t know who wrote it. I got a reply. I expected them to disagree with the politicization part but thank me for pointing out their error on where the cartoonist worked, and for them to correct it. But as I said, they’re not a legitimate news outlet that operates with journalism ethics and guidelines.
The reply was from a guy named Phil Stilton, whose position at the publication is a bit of a mystery because their site listed that he was leaving, but he’s somehow in the position to reply to emails. He wrote back, “Fixed it for you,” probably thinking that was clever, and copied and pasted my email but changed out “cartoonist” for “pervert” in bold.
I wasn’t going to write back, but he replied again, writing, “He is a cartoonist for the failing WaPo and most of his political satire is deranged nonsense like yours.”
So our guy, Phil Stilton, read my work and used Trump’s description of the Washington Post.
So your boy, me, couldn’t let that go, and replied, “He doesn't work for the Post. That's where you're wrong. With the anti-Trump thing, you're just trying to score pathetic political points. You suck as a news outlet. You've also shown your bias by copying Trump's lingo, "failing WaPo." You should leave that out of your reporting. This has been fun and I look forward to calling you out publicly.”
Phil replied again because he apparently has a lot of free time at the Shore News Network since they don’t actually write their articles and instead steal them from other news sites. He sent a link to one of the cartoonist’s cartoons in the Post, and wrote, “He has been paid to draw shitty cartoons for the wapo and you are welcome to call me out for calling out deviant sexual predators and those (like you) who defend them and are equally shitty at drawing cartoons. Now, go fuck yourself.”
First, the cartoon was reprinted in the Post, in the same way they reprint my cartoons, and I don’t work for the Post. Also, I didn’t defend the cartoonist so this editor, or whatever he is, can’t comprehend. And then, he told me to go “fuck myself.” That demands I write back, right?
I wrote, “That's a reprint from 2023. He doesn't work for them and there's not a byline for the Post on the cartoon. They've run my cartoons as well, but I don't WORK for them. An editor should understand that. Just like a MAGAt, you can't admit when you're wrong. Now go fuck your mother, you lying piece of shit.”
That was not very nice of me and I’m ashamed and disappointed in myself, which actually means, eh, it’s business as usual here at Claytoonz Inc. “Go fuck your mother” is currently my favorite retort. But, it wasn’t fair because I don’t know his poor mother who has probably suffered enough after failing to raise this piece of lying shit. My tolerance has been at an all-time low since last November. But now, I extend my apologies to his mother.
It kind of went on like that a few more times without me insulting him, but he wouldn’t run a correction and refused to admit it was wrong even though it was wrong. He kept repeating the same lies and accused me of defending pedophiles. I told him I didn’t have an issue with most of the story that he copied and pasted from another source, but what I was defending was facts and journalism. I finished my correspondence by saying, “A legitimate news outlet would fix the errors and issue a correction at the bottom of the article. You committed a mistake and by ignoring it after being informed, you've turned that mistake into a lie.”
This exchange could be taught in journalism classes as to what not to do. This guy had no evidence the cartoonist worked for the Post but claimed he did anyway. He would not correct the story and instead, clung to his stubbornness which chose lies over facts. He said the cartoonist should contact him and inform the publication that he doesn’t work for the Post, even though the cartoonist is in jail and probably won’t use his one phone call to contact Phil’s lying ass. He also claimed he contacted the Post for a comment but they refused to reply, although there’s no mention of that in the article, probably because they stole it, he’s lying, or both. It shouldn’t be the Post’s responsibility to correct the outlet’s lie when there’s no evidence to support the lie. If the cartoonist doesn’t work for the Post, then it’s not the Post’s requirement to issue a statement. I can’t believe there are editors this stupid.
When I conduct my email campaigns to pick up new clients, I often get replies from conservative small-town editors insulting me and calling me stuff like “libtard.” I usually don’t respond to them and while I share their emails on social media because they amuse me, I never publish the editors’ email addresses. But this editor told me to go fuck myself when I informed him he published misinformation, so fuck that guy.
His email is: pstilton@shorenewsnetwork.com. I highly encourage you to let him know what you think about him and his outlet. And it won’t bother me at all if you tell him to go fuck his mother. Sorry to Phil’s mother, but her son’s an idiot.
