Slush and Mumble
Todd Blanche mumbles
Columnist Glenn Thrush of The New York Times writes, “The things Todd Blanche did to persuade President Trump to nominate him as attorney general might be the things that prevent him from being confirmed as attorney general.”
Blanche, Trump’s acting attorney general, may never get the title, status, and clout without “acting” in it. Blanche's problem is that he never went from being Donald Trump's personal attorney and asskisser to being an independent attorney general, which is what the job calls for.
There's no clout with working for Trump anyway. There will always be an asterisk next to their names. Even Kiss and Sylvester Stallone will have asterisks next to their names for being Kennedy Center Honors recipients because they were made so by Donald Trump.
When asked earlier this year how he would respond if Trump fired him, Blanche replied, “I love you, sir.” Most human beings would reply, “Go fuck yourself,” after being fired, which is a modern way to say “Take this job and shove it.” You know, Trump hasn't fired me from anything, and I'll still give him a “Go Fuck yourself.”
Two Republicans on the Senate Judiciary Committee, Senator John Cornyn of Texas and Senator Thom Tillis of North Carolina, are also telling Trump to go fuck himself by blocking Blanche’s path to a floor vote over a $1.8 billion fund for so-called victims of prosecutorial abuses by Biden’s DOJ, and a provision that gives tax immunity to Trump and his corrupt trust fund babies.
Trump had endorsed Cornyn’s primary opponent, the corrupt Ken Paxton, which ended Cornyn’s Senate career because Texas Republicans are stupid cultists, and Tillis is retiring, which is when some Republicans find their backbones.
While Blanche has told them that he has canceled the slush fund for terrorists, he refuses to put it in writing, probably because he's lying about canceling the thing. He refuses to budge on the immunity from audits for Trump. This immunity can save Donald Trump over $100 million, which means a lot to a guy who's probably paid less than $1000 in taxes over the past decade.
As you know, most people who can't afford groceries and gasoline for their cars with a son or daughter serving in the Iran war while suffering from explosive diarrhea are way more concerned about Donald Trump being free from tax audits.
Now Trump is threatening to keep Blanche in the acting role without confirmation, at least until Cornyn and Tillis have left the Senate. The only problem with this approach is that if Democrats win the Senate in November, they're not going to give Blanche a second look. Why would Democrats run on a message about how corrupt and horrible Trump is, then vote for his corrupt asskissing Attorney General?
Perhaps the craziest part of this is that there are only two Republicans in the United States Senate who are saying no to the slush fund for J6 terrorists and for Trump to receive immunity from tax audits.
Tillis and Cornyn both claim they represent a much larger group of Senate Republicans who have reservations about the implications of the tax deal, but are too much of shitweasels to speak out publicly. That doesn't make me feel better. How many Republican senators with these “reservations" will end up voting for Blanche anyway? How many of these senators will put cultism before country?
We'll never be sure because they all mumble. They all have their lips on Donald Trump's ass.
Creative note: I'm late today because I went to the post office this morning and then I had a hard time writing on the subject. I didn't have a hard time coming up with ideas, because I kept having ideas for other subjects. But I wanted to do this one.
Creeper update: Do you remember when I posted about a creepy guy taking a photo of my front door a few days ago?
I talked to my Landlady last night to see if he was someone she knew or maybe even a new tenant I was unaware of. Nobody gives me updates. I don't know what's going on around here. I mind my own business. But even if it was a tenant, it would still be weird for him to take photos of my door.
Unfortunately, she has no idea who this guy is, and she kind of freaked out about it. I told her it's probably nothing, and it's probably nothing.
It's probably nothing.

Signed prints and books: I cannot take orders for signed prints or for my books at this time. So please do not send me money or place orders for them until further notice. Because of the stroke, it is an ordeal for me to get to the post office, so we’re gonna hold up until I’m fully capable of doing so. Thank you for your understanding.
Merch: Did you know there’s a Claytoonz store? My cartoons are printed on mugs, clothing, caps, and even a Peezy T-shirt. If you ever want a specific cartoon on some merch, let me know, and I’ll add it.

Was hoping you had a higher res pic so we could read his cap and shirt.
Perhaps a Blue Tsunami in November will stiffen some senatorial spines.
Great toon! The only thing is that I think folks would have to jockey for a position on the orange ass.
