It felt good to laugh, despite the fact that ICE's cruelty is ramping up with the use of electric gloves.
It's impossible to read this with a straight face:
“ICE is constantly assessing the needs of our officers in the field to ensure they have the tools and equipment necessary to safely arrest and remove criminal illegal aliens from our country. Every decision is made with careful consideration and appropriately reviewed to ensure that any technology ICE utilizes is consistent with all applicable law enforcement policies and standards,” the agency said in a statement.
Does anyone actually believe that?!

Great cartoon, Clay! It makes me laugh to think of an ICEman accidentally shocking his own self because he forgot to take off the gloves before grabbing his Wee Willy Winky!!!
I hope they deploy those gloves, the people working for ICE aren't the sharpest so I'm looking forward to the videos in which they're tasing themselves.
A far more serious question, IMHO, is whether or not the Dems will find their spines, presuming they win big this fall, which seems likely. Will they dare say a bad word about ICE, or will they just investigate as long as they know nothing will actually happen? Will they defund ICE or will they do a 10% reduction and say "we found a compromise with beloved Trump and the great people of the GOP?"
Sigh. I hope that Past Performance is not an indicator of Future Spinelessness. There seem to be a lot of older people being pushed out, new people moving in, and the absolute disaster fundraising for the DNC has been this year MIGHT indicate a change going forwards. There's hope, but nothing is certain.
Note - in case anyone isn't paying attention, DNC fundraising has been nil. Nobody wants to donate to the "WE ARE LIVING FOSSILS" group. Everyone has gone around them and donated via ActBlue, and NOT to the DNC. Ken Martin had a chance to work to push out the elderly who demand we act like WWII just ended, and he absolutely refused, working against that whenever he could. Until they quit acting like "we must elect the most elderly persons possible", I'm not donating a penny to them. And for God's sake, I'm 73! I'm well aware that most of my peers are losing their damn marbles, I see it every day. Those who can keep working past 70 are a small minority. But we just keep voting for people who OBVIOUSLY are not at their best, because they've got a huge staff that does little besides propping them up. I'd really LOVE to have drug tests on ALL politicians just before they take the stage for a rally or debate. Seriously! Enlarge the actual press images of politicians and look at their eyes, pretty often you find some strange pupils.
Paul — I’m 81 and am totally with you on this. Let’s turn to the younger generations—they’re the ones who have to live with crap that they’re facing. The aging out professional politicians have clung to their seats for way too long. Let’s get fresh minds and fresh ideas to rejuvenate our politics—then maybe I could support the DNC.
