A couple of weeks ago I drew a cartoon about Virginia’s lying POS MAGAt Republican governor Glenn Youngkin deleting people from voting rolls who were suspected of not being American citizens.
Youngkin issued an order to have daily purges of people who are suspected of not being citizens. He did this within 90s days of the election which is supposed to be illegal. The Justice Department and other groups sued and put a halt to it, but the Supreme Court got ahold of it and they’re allowing Youngkin’s voter purge to stand.
CNN gained access to the list of 1,600 people purged and many of them didn’t know their right to vote had been obliterated by Governor Fucknuts. For those who are citizens, and most of them are, it’s their burden to re-register.
Youngkin got all hot and bothered with the right-wing talking point that “illegals” are voting although it doesn’t happen in Virginia. Nobody has voted illegally since Youngkin has been governor. And it’s bullshit he only got concerned about it 90 days before an election.
Sure, there’s same-day registration in Virginia, but what if you don’t have your papers with you when you try to vote?
The Supreme Court voted 6-3 to allow the purge. That’s the same six who overturned Roe with three of them being Trump appointees. The fourth flew pro-Trump flags outside his home and the fifth justice’s wife worked to help Trump steal the election. Sure, there’s nothing shady about any of this.
Also, this quick overturning of the federal law comes without any legal argument to justify the purge.
The justices may be roasting brats, shrimp, marshmallows, and weiners in this cartoon, but I smell bullshit.
Creative note: I live in a tiny studio apartment. I’m poor. An idiot lives above me and he flooded his apartment last August because he and his girlfriend fell asleep with his kitchen faucet running, which means he flooded my apartment too. His excuse was he didn’t know it would do that because he hadn’t lived in an apartment in over 30 years. Apparently, wherever he spent the past 30 years doesn’t have faucets. I’m not making this up. This was the night before I had to leave for Chicago for the Democratic National Convention. He killed my brand new ceiling fan I’ve been sitting in the dark at night since then. The idiot is now my sworn enemy.
Today, someone came to finally replace the fan. And I had to listen to the guy talk on his speakerphone while I was drawing this cartoon. I have a pet peeve about speaker phones in public and here, I had to listen to it in my apartment. They were talking about deer hunting.
So, it was very hard for me to get into the drawing of this cartoon, so I spent the entire time the fan dude and his speakerphone were here just drawing the circles in the smoke.
Live blog: There will be a live blog on election night and it’ll be coming at you from the nation’s capital. I just haven’t figured out how I’m going to do it. I think it’ll be just one blog and I’ll ask you to refresh the page throughout the evening…unless I think of a better way. Stay tooned.

Clay, hang in there. We need you! Sorry your upstairs neighbor is such an idiot! Who leaves their water running? Okay. I am judging him!
Damn. I cannot believe SCOTUS can allow this to happen anywhere in this country. The VP better win on Tuesday. I’m guessing most of those removed were registered democrats. Excellent toon and blog. So sorry for your hunter neighbor. Hunters’ suck.
