Greenland gives Trump the finger

Yesterday, I mentioned Trump being heckled as he toured the Ford Motor Company factory in Detroit, Michigan, on Tuesday before he gave an economic speech chock-full of lies.

As Trump waddled through the factory, getting his ass kissed by executive Bill Ford, an employee shouted, “pedophile protector” at Trump. Trump responded in the most presidential manner in which he could muster, which was to shout, “fuck you,” and to flip the guy his middle finger.

Ford suspended the factory employee with pay. Now it has been reported that the employee is over $800,000 richer thanks to two GoFundMe pages set up to support him. His fundraising is doing a little bit better than mine (lots), which was set up by two of my political cartooning colleagues, Jack Ohman and Kevin Necessary. Next time, instead of having a stroke, I'm going to flip off Donald Trump.

Yesterday, top danish in agreement officials met with Vice President JD Vance and Secretary of State Marco Rubio at the White House about Donald Trump's desire to own Greenland. Danish Foreign Minister Lars Løkke Rasmussen told reporters the discussion was "frank and constructive" but that "fundamental disagreements" remained.

"It's clear that the president has this wish of conquering over Greenland," said. Rasmussen, which he called "totally unacceptable."

Trump later said, “We need Greenland,” and "If we don't go in, Russia's going to go in and China is going to go in. And there's not a thing that Denmark can do about it, but we can do everything about it.

That is total and complete bullshit, and Trump should understand that because he is the president of the United States. Greenland is a territory of Denmark. Denmark is a member of NATO. If Russia “goes in,” as Trump says, or “China goes in,” it will be defended by NATO because that is why NATO exists. In fact (and this is why Donald Trump should know this), the United States would be required as part of its membership in NATO to defend Denmark. Basically, Russia and China are not “going in” to Greenland. And if Donald Trump isn't as stupid as he looks, neither will the United States.

Except, we are already there, which is another reason why we don't need Greenland. Basically, for our defence, we already have it. We have had military bases in Greenland since World War II.

And now, more NATO countries are in Greenland.

After yesterday's flop of a meeting with Vance and Rubio, troops from France, Germany, Norway, Sweden, the United Kingdom, and others started arriving in Greenland. This is to show support for Greenland after Donald Trump’s threats, to stage military exercises, and maybe build a permanent presence. After all, Greenland may need defending from an invader in the near future.

Unfortunately, the invader may not be China or Russia, but the United States. Keep in mind that Denmark is an ally of ours.

This is exactly what Hitler did before he invaded other nations. He made up bullshit reasons as to why he had claims to these countries. The United States does not have any rights, ownership, or claims to Greenland.

The NATO operation led by Denmark is named Operation Arctic Endurance. It should be titled Operation Shut Up Pedophile Protector.

Creative note: I was torn between polar bears and walruses. Right as I finish this cartoon, I thought about another way to draw it. Despite it being late in the day, around 5 PM, I plowed ahead with the walruses. But two out of the three people I bounced it off of told me to stick with the polar bear. What do you think? One of my proofreaders said that it was kind of an insult to walruses to draw Trump as one.

I may return to this in the future and do something with Trump as a walrus. I like it.
