There’s a lot of wishful thinking that Trump backed candidates will be easier targets for dems, I’m wishing too. The biggest challenge will be getting enough voters who are disgusted with Trump to vote in the midterms. I became a naturalized citizen in 2004.

Many of my friends and neighbors who are multiple generation citizens have never voted in the midterm elections, and I’ve had to explain the significance to them.

I imagine that Trump isn’t the only politician currently in office who’s name appears in Epstein files.

What you said about your neighbors who don’t vote is so sad. I hope you convince them that it’s important to vote in every election. School board, school, budget, library board, library, budget, mayors races, governors, races, congressional races, presidential races, etc..

It is appalling to me that we have such a low voting rate in our country.

It is understandable in that most people are struggling to survive with children and multiple jobs. Plus, why on earth make voting one day only and on a Tuesday when most people are working?

Voting in all elections is our duty to our country. We need to be heard every time. But, right now, it is the most important thing in the country. We need people who are dissatisfied with the way things are in this country to speak up with their vote against the party in charge. They are the problem, and we need them out so the other side can try and clean up at least some of the mess and not let that jackass in the Oval Office do any more damage than he has already done.

Perfect toon and blog.

"Why is protecting the pedophiles in the Epstein files so important to Donald Trump supporters?"

Because if they don't protect them, there will be nothing to stop the awful return of their basic human conscience. And then they'd feel all the awful.

Great toon, Clay. I just love the captions on the two illustrations. So, what bird is trying to get into your house? Is it tapping on the window? It may see it’s reflection and think it’s something that it has to aggressively threaten.

That comment about human skin just had me snorting hysterically.

Carry-on.

That's a crow. He had a friend with him, but he flew off before I could get a photo of the two of them together. He wasn't tapping on the window.

Just call me Mr. Gein (as in Ed; I forget that younger people not from Wisconsin might not have heard of Ed Gein.

Yo!

I'm a loyal MAGAt. I'm ready to riot to prevent the Democrats from stealing the next election.

I'm ready to terrorize Democrats, particularly brown folks, to keep them from voting.

Hey, my god-king got my back. Pardons galore. And he's gonna give me CA$H so that I can get camo and face masks and GUNS so I can "protect" polling places from Democrat voters.

Bring it on!

Such a sad sign of the times that you had to add a disclaimer because someone might mistake your insane comic rant for someone's honest opinion.

Uh. C'mon down and tour South Crackerlina. These mofos would want to elect Marc.

these sure are twisted times we're living in!

C'mon! You know why MAGAts want to protect pedophiles. Whose name is mentioned more than 38,000 times (according to Jamie Raskin)?

These droolers were clamoring for transparency BEFORE any files were released----now suddenly they don't want to know more. Move along, nothing to see here. Gee, what changed?

Certainly a valid perspective.

You’ve convinced me to watch those Netflix documentaries.

David Yohalem's avatar

I would, but they aren't showing on Netflix where I live. Nor is John Oliver on HBO. Weird.

The MAGAts have a serious aversion to the truth. They've been lied to for so long, told what to think, what to say, who to hate, all while worshipping at the Trump altar. Just look at Massie and Cassidy, if you need to be reminded of what happens if you dare to speak the truth or you refuse to let fear of retribution force you into silence.

It astounds me how much control Trump still has over his majority. Instilling fear in the Republican Party is a very powerful tool, and it continues to be his special sauce.

Hoping there'll be less kool-aid being consumed, as we get closer to the midterms.

BigDaddy52's avatar

I was gonna say his majority doesn't fear him, they love him. And realized you mean the fear he stirs in them of the dreaded, rampaging 'other'.

I miss the Republican Party of several generations ago. Eisenhower was the last honorable, respectable Republican president (except maybe Ford, but he was so tied to Nixon that it’s hard to tell).

Richard Van Atta's avatar

Let Thomas Massie be a clarion call for us all — the Trumphukians will do ANYTHING to maintain their control and that includes keeping the Epstein files hidden and gerrymandering congressional districts and doing whatever to subvert free and fair elections.

I’m in very red South Carolina but hope that we can upset the apple cart here with Annie Andrews ousting Lascivious Lindsey for the Senate.

That's it! It's bewildering that political ads continue to be placed on tv. Yes, it's a revenue stream for stations, but it's no secret that remote controls exist. Hoping the Bluegrass state realizes voting red is not in its best interest.
