No Kings Day

There are no kings in America... yet

The No Kings website reads, “Trump wants to rule over us as a tyrant, but this is America, and power belongs to the people — not to wannabe kings or their billionaire cronies.”

More than 3,000 protests are planned across the nation tomorrow to protest the lawlessness and fascism of Donald Trump's reckless, racist, and idiotic regime. This will be the third round of No Kings protests, and the first in 2026.

The Trump regime accuses anyone protesting against at No Kings of having the fake medical condition, Trump Derangement Syndrome. But it doesn't help their argument that Donald Trump isn't trying to be a king when he and his minions are so busy trying to name all they can after him.

So far, they have renamed the United States Institute of Peace to the Donald Trump Peace Center. They have added his name to the Kennedy Center. A new coin is coming out with his face on it. They have placed huge banners all over the capital on federal buildings with his ugly face on them. He's trying to build a monument to himself in Washington DC, which they’re calling the Trump de Arc. And now they are putting his signature on the one-dollar bill. There are further attempts to rename Dulles International Airport after him, and the original plan for renaming the Gulf of Mexico to the Gulf of America was to rename it after Donald Trump.

Donald Trump has a long history of naming shit after himself, from buildings to cheap steaks to board games to fake illegal universities to fake illegal charities. If Donald Trump wants to desecrate the Bible and put his name on it, that's his business, but now, he's putting his name on stuff that belongs to us, the American taxpayer. The idea is that these monuments will have his name on them forever. Well, I'm sure his name will come off the Peace Center and the Kennedy Center at some point in the future, but for years, people will find Trump coins in their pockets.

But I guarantee that in the future, when people see the monument Trump had built for himself or the huge and grotesque ballroom that the east wing was demolished for, people aren't going to see a monument for Trump as much as they're going to see a reminder of what a petty and pathetic person he was. These symbols will be monuments to Donald Trump being the worst president in the history of the United States.

There's still Nazi architecture standing in Berlin, but they're no longer monuments. Donald Trump and his goons are building a lot of stuff for people in the future to spit on.

I went to the first No Kings protest in Washington DC, which was on the same day Donald Trump held a military parade on his birthday. It was at this protest where a MAGAt asked me how much I was being paid to protest, and I asked him how much he was paid to fuck his mother. I had a delightful time. The next day, I caught a flight to San Diego and spent two weeks with some friends in Carlsbad, California. This time, I'm not getting around as well because of the stroke. I would love to attend the local event here in Fredericksburg, but I really can't handle crowds right now.

But I want everyone who is participating to know that my heart is with them. I wish I could be there.
