Trump cast a mail-in ballot last week ina special election

Guess which critic of mail-in voting recently cast a mail-in ballot? I will give you a hint. He's overweight and lies about it, orange, kind of stupid, smells, likes to name everything after himself, is probably a pedophile, is a known grifter, oggles his own daughter, and recently started a war for reasons we still haven't determined. Yeah, I think you know who it is.

Donald Trump has a history of attacking absentee voting while also having a history of using absentee voting.

Recently, Donald Trump referred to mail-in voting as “mail-in cheating”. He claims it's the only way that Democrats can win. Yet, widespread voter fraud, whether through the mail or in person, does not exist. Despite that it doesn't exist, Republicans have used the lie to change voting laws across the country, and are currently using the lie in an attempt to pass the Save Act, which oppresses the votes of minorities. And no, it's not about having an ID when you vote.

A Brookings analysis of voter fraud concluded that there are “four cases of mail voting fraud out of every 10 million mail votes.”

The conservative Heritage Foundation, which created Project 2025, maintains a voter fraud database, and it shows only 387 cases of “fraudulent use of absentee ballots” in elections going back to 1982.

Despite Trump posting on social media, “We are now the only Country in the World that uses Mail-In Voting,” the International Institute for Democracy and Electoral Assistance says there are more than 30 countries that allow mail-in voting.

Last week, our first hypocrite, Donald Trump, cast a mail-in ballot for a March 24 special election in Florida, which is weird because he's usually in his Florida home two days a week. And the district he voted in, which, of course, encompasses his tacky resort Mar-a-Lago, flipped from red to blue.

Democrat Emily Gregory won the district, flipping it from Republican to Democratic, and defeated Republican Jon Maples, whom Trump endorsed. In the 2024 presidential election, Trump carried this district by about 11 percentage points.

Florida’s 87th District is the 10th GOP-held state legislative seat Democrats have flipped around the country since Trump took office again last year. Republicans have not flipped any Democratic state legislative seats during that time.

Gregory was not alone in flipping a Republican-held district in this special election, as Democrat Brian Nathan flipped one in West Tampa, which is also a Republican stronghold.

The writing is on the wall, and it says that Republicans are in deep, serious, funky doo-doo come the midterms. Since Republicans are in so much trouble with the midterms, we can expect attempts at election fraud, and they will come from the Republicans.

Donald Trump, in particular, engages in election fraud, like that time he tried to convince the Georgia Secretary of State to find and deliver to him 11,780 votes, which would have overturned the election in that state from Joe Biden to him.

Republicans always warn about voter fraud before an election that they expect to lose. They're even talking about sending ICE to voting precincts in the midterms. But if Republicans are monitoring our elections, who's going to monitor the Republicans?

Creative note: I wrote this idea yesterday and sketched it out then, but I wasn't really feeling it, so I put it on the back burner for a day. I wrote another one that I really liked this morning, but I felt I should draw this one first.
