My fantasy future: that every person that has complied with the Toddler Turd's illegal executive orders, or the unconstitutional laws of state legislatures and congress or the lawless decrees by the 6 corrupt murder of SCROTUS crows ... will be arrested, arraigned, tried, convicted, serve time and be fined to the point of near bankruptcy for the damage that they have done to our country. I don't care if I don't live to see it happen. I just want to know that it could happen so that my descendants don't have to spend their lives in a fascist state/country/world. That means the Turd and his entire cabinet of Turdlettes, the 6 SCROTUSes, Mitch & his minions, Johnson & the spineless congressional sycophants, ... all the way down the food chain to the MAGA oligarchs, multi-millionaires, bureaucrats and morons at the state and local levels. That would be my heaven on Earth.
I'm in total agreement with you. I won't live to see it, as I am a senior citizen. But that's what needs to happen. I would like to go to my final rest knowing my children and grandchildren are not living in a fascist country. Rather, have the government leaning towards a more FDR/Johnson type era than the current administration. Something that boosts the middle class and not doing something to help the rich and already prosperous 1% or the corporations. Making private equity disappear would also be a big help.

I am worried that these older Extreme Court members will retire NOW, letting donald appoint two new, decades younger Court members. Nightmare! The only way to combat that (god willing, Democrats take over the Senate and presidency in the near future) would be to add more Supreme Court members. Even things up a bit.
I'm worried they will retire before the election or between the election and the new Congress being sworn in, and the Senate will pull another fast one as they did with Barrett. Too many possibilities.

What I can’t and wish I could understand is why Alito and Thomas are so angry, hate-filled, vengeful. Of the other 4, Kavanaugh is from all we learned an aging, bitter, privileged frat boy. Barrett has children adopted from Haiti. Why would she want for others what she helped others escape?

Since SCOTUS is getting ready to go on their summer hiatus, I don't imagine there will be time for Trump's appeal to be considered before it's too late to change the November election rules, but no doubt he'll try. Why? Because he knows good and well that the more of us who vote, the less likely the Republican Party will hold on to the two chambers in Congress, and therefore, his impeachment next January would become reality! It is in the US constitution - Article I, Section 8, Clause 7, - and there was quite a bit of debate over who should control it. It was decided it should NOT be under executive control - Thomas Jefferson, the 3rd US president was concerned it would become a source of patronage. Hint hint tot he grifter-in-chief - a founding father said it does not belong to you.
