Sad to read of a good restaurant being squeezed out by its landlord. Thanks for drawing and writing about it. We had Taqueria Nacional in a decommissioned USPS building on T Street off 14th, but it seems to have closed. Hope the barbecue was great.
Honestly, I think the state governments are trying to break the cities by forcing them to pay for every scrap of infrastructure repair and limiting expansion.
Here in Tennessee, the state govt passes laws exempting Memphis from all sorts of funding and help. The relationship between city, county and state are very tense.
