The regime is lying again

I started working on this cartoon before the events unfolded in Minnesota today. In case you haven't heard yet, federal agents have shot a third person today. This is another fatal shooting.

I did not get to dive into the story until after I had completed this cartoon. I had something else occupying my time today as well. When I was finally able to look up, I watched the video.

I saw the video after hearing that the man who was shot had a weapon. At the start of the video, it resembled the Rodney King beating, except Rodney King wasn't shot at the end. It looked like a gang of Border Patrol thugs was holding the man down and beating him. At the end, while still being held down, one of the agents shoots the guy.

I messaged a couple of friends who I knew were on top of the story and asked them both if I saw what I thought I saw. They were both livid over the video and confirmed that I saw what I saw.

Then I saw that the regime is telling us the man was another so-called “domestic terrorist” trying to assassinate ICE agents. DHS is arguing that the man violently resisted being arrested. The New York Times is reporting that it appears the man did not have a gun, but a phone. CNN is reporting that the video seems to show that agents took the object, a gun or a phone, away from the man before he was shot.

Now it seems DHS wants to be the agency that investigates this incident after being caught lying again.

It is currently -3° in Minneapolis, and protests are still forming. Will this be the excuse that Trump is looking forward to declaring martial law? Of course, if that happens, it too will be based on lies. Protesting is not illegal. This event is still developing, and details are still forthcoming.

And ICE, Border Patrol, DHS, Kristi Noem, Donald Trump, and his entire regime are still lying.
