Democratic donors are about to spend $20 million on a “strategic plan” called “Speaking with American Men” to figure out their problem with men, and mostly White men. The plan includes “study(ing) the syntax, language, and content that gains attention and virality” in male “spaces.”
I’m non-partisan, but I will offer to help the Democrats figure out their White dude problem for half the price. While I wait for my $10 million check to arrive, I’ll tell you what the Democrats’ problem with men is. Are you ready?
The Democrats’ problem with men is….drumroll please……women.
More specifically, the men of this nation don’t want a woman president. They would rather vote for a mentally unstable racist moron who committed treason against this nation and is a rapist felon.
Democrats lost men when they nominated Hillary Clinton in 2016. It didn’t matter that she was a hundred times more qualified for the presidency than a mouth-breathing, Putin-controlled, knuckle-dragging gameshow host with a bleached skunk for a combover. The Democratic Party had a better candidate, a better campaign, a better message, and more money, but America’s men said, “Nope! She cackles.”
Then the Democrats nominated Joe Biden in 2020, whose only exciting feature is that he wasn’t Donald Trump. Honestly, that’s what got me excited.
And last year, Trump won again when the Democrats didn’t just nominate a woman, but a Black woman. Even the percentage of Black male voters dropped.
Women's support for Kamala Harris was at the same level that they supported Joe Biden in 2020, but the share of men backing Democrats dropped from 48 percent in 2020 to 42 percent in 2024.
There was a four-point drop among white men and a seven-point drop among Black men. Support for Democrats among Latino women fell by seven points, but among Latino men, the decline was 12 points.
You can’t convince me the drops were because Trump was such a great candidate, or because Biden was a bad president.
I think it comes down to mostly one factor, and that is America is a racist nation. We’re so racist that we’ve gaslighted minorities into being afraid of voting for a minority.
I don’t want to advise the Democratic Party to make the 2028 nominee a White dude, because we’re long past due for a female president. But will America be ready for a female president by 2028?
I think at this point, we’ve regressed to where we won’t even elect another Black male to the highest office. President Obama won Iowa, Ohio, and Florida in 2008 and 2012. 2008 also included Indiana and North Carolina. Can you see any of those states voting for any Democrat in 2028? Right now, Democrats need to focus on winning back the swing states, like Nevada, Wisconsin, Pennsylvania, Michigan, Arizona, and Georgia.
Democrats want those male voters back, but at what cost? Do they need to start screaming racist shit about people from “shithole countries?” I do not want to get rid of MAGA by turning into MAGA.
By the way, Mike Peterson, who writes Comic Strip of the Day at The Daily Cartoonist, accused me of being racist for this cartoon. He reads this blog.
I think I’m qualified to criticize White men.
Adventures: Several of you told me you enjoyed following my trip last year through the United Kingdom, Ireland, and Iceland, and mostly the food pics. There will be another trip this October, and it’s definitely happening because I’ve already purchased a couple of the tickets. Stay tooned.
New paid subscribers: I need to give a big honking shout-out to some of my new paid subscribers. I can go a while without new paid subscribers, but I’ve picked up a few over the past few weeks or so, and I just wanted to tell you all how much I appreciate you.
The more paid subscribers I get means the less I have to rely on news outlets for financial support. I don’t want to lose any newspapers, and I love all my clients, but it’s a fickle industry now.
But with Substack, I don’t have to worry about drawing two cartoons about Biden’s Clone in a row, or worry about some pee-pee, or including the word “baboon ass.” If I still had to work under a couple of my former editors, they would have taken “boobs” out of today’s cartoon. In honor of those editors, booger.

You're quite right. Trump did not win based on intelligence (he has none) or his looks (he makes me want to throw up) or his "charisma" (again, he has none), but simply because the people, both men and women, of this nation are bigots in every form -- racist, homophobic, misogynistic -- and I've begun to wonder if 'America' will EVER wake up and realize that women are just as intelligent and courageous as men, in general. Judge the PERSON, not the gender, colour, religion, or whom they love!!! This nation IS very much a racist nation and I don't think that will change by 2028. Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr ...
"Arnold Palmer's Ding-Dong" sounds like a name for a cocktail. 😏
Excellent blog. Yes, it needs to be said: Racism is a problem, a big problem, in the U S of A. And no, it's not "racist" to point out that racism. Carry on!
