Love your cartoon version of gerrymandering. In the case of Texas, it's probably also an accurate map.

I am a coward. I have to fully admit to myself that this is true. I am unable to address things with my family who are wrong in every aspect about what is happening with this country, and I can't stand the comment section of your fb posts when the trolls take over. And I can't stand the vile racist comments that you shared on your last blog. The only thing I can think is that this country has become evil. Or always was, and is just not afraid to show it anymore. And gerrymandering is evil, whether it's by Democrats or Republicans, and I dislike thinking that it will now be necessary for me to endorse California fighting fire with fire, because it's still evil. I just don't know what to do. If I could move away, at this point, I would. But that's still cowardice.

Everything you say is true, except that the evil originated with the foundry. Chatel slavery was written into the Constitution and only addressed with the Civil War. When, in 1880, the Republicans joined with the Democrats to institute Jim Crow as a national policy, the evil was renewed and extended. And it has never been fully addressed. Perhaps the present crisis will bring us closer to relief, but for now, the jockeying for supremacy continues under the influence of more and more money sequestered in fewer and fewer hands which purchases favors and the extant concentration of power seems to be winning. It's not cowardice to recognize unjust structures and to leave, it's despair. Sometimes despair is realism and failure to admit that is cowardice.

Just sayin'. Have a nice day.

Your cartoon emphasizes that this race is turning out to be quite an interesting one to watch!

Great quotes, by the way, too!

Good coverage of the Spanberger candidacy and, of course, the malfeasance of the unpopular GOP.

Nice write-up in the Advance.

Texas has 1.5 million more Dems than 'pubs. But the 'pubs control the legislature? A bit late to be talking about rigging votes.

Only way to stop insane gerrymandering is a constitutional amendment forcing proportional representation. Anything else will be set aside by the Rape Court.

Wait a minute, Youngkin can't be a candidate for President in 2028. Trump will be inaugurated for a third term in January of 2029 ... Bannon says so.
