Decades ago, when I was in grad school, I worked for a year in a specialized stroke rehab program. For what it’s worth, I met many stroke patients who made remarkable progress in regaining their walking, speech, fine motor skills, and more. Be patient with the process! Wishing you the best possible recovery!
Clay, I do not know what to say other than I hope for you to heal at the pace you need, and no other. You are what is important now. Will we miss Peezy and the rest of your creations? Of course. But it is YOU that we love.
As one who had a stroke three years ago, I suspect you are as scared as I was. Issues of mortality come crashing in. Alpha and Omega. But, this was not your time. For that, I am thankful. Do work hard on the rehab. With toil and some pain, I pray it will be crazily successful. But, for me, the hardest part was to really, and I mean REALLY, change your lifestyle. Change your diet. Start to focus on all those results from blood tests. Fix what is not right. Use this horrible event to turn a new leaf. As soon as I can, I will increase my subscription. Peace be with you. Dave
I second all of this. I didn't have a stroke but had a widowmaker heart attack that nearly took me out. I did all of the rehab and changed my diet and lifestyle, and now I am in a much better state. Still have to keep up with and monitor things, and take my meds. I realize the recovery from a stroke is a lot different, but early on I really thought I may never be able to walk down the hall again, and now I can walk all over Manhattan and get major blisters on my feet and not have any heart or breathing issues, so that's a major win. I wish similar amounts of rebound for you.
I'm still sitting here saying no! it can't be true! To sound true to my hippie dippy adjacent heart though, just know all us Peezeheads are sending healing thoughts/vibes your way. I'm going to go cry for a minute now.
Recovery is a process...this is the worst news for all of us, we survive with your help. I love you and will be sending positive vibes through the air. Heal.

On Zelle, it goes into his account directly. To ensure the right one, his a/c is 540. That should do it. And yes, just his name and why I'm doing that v. the others that are taxable or take part of funds. It will, as a new "account", send you a verification that you want to add.
Clay,
So sorry to hear about your health issues.
You'll be up and moving before you know it.
Try not to get frustrated with yourself and others.
Never bite the hand of your physical therapist even though they are mean and heartless.
Never bit the hand of your occupational therapist, sound like they know stuff (they do) but ae secret physical therapists!
Be pleasant to your aides, bringers of food and visitors. Especially visitors if you want them to return and bring for you goodies!
You've still got to get to old age for the good stuff.
You will become better because you are a strong person!
David Freedgood
Don’t bite the speech therapist either. 😉😉😉🩷🩷🩷 love your work, looking forward to your return.
this is really lovely. it sounds like you’ve had experience with those folks yourself.
Thank you! Some experience with friends and family.
Sending you more prayers, whether you want them or not. <3

Cheapskate! You could have thrown in some thoughts there too 😉
My head is too empty to spare any thoughts (especially on a Friday), and my wallet is too empty to send any money, so it's down to prayers.

Be sure to keep the Pizza Rat nearby!

His Zelle is under Clayton Jones.
Is it just Clayton Jones? No numbers or dashes?
Zelle lands directly into his bank account with no commissions taken from what you give. Unlike Go Fund Me or Pay Pal.

Thank you, Joan.
I’m new to Zelle So just Clayton Jones and his email. Where does the 540 go? I don’t want to send it to the wrong place!!
Derp. 😂😂😂 Of course, it's at the end of every post. Thank you!
Great idea. Thanks Leslie.
So sorry about this…. 😢
