My company discontinued my coverage, but notified me months before the expiration. Phrasing of the notice was disconcerting, but I called one of company's navigators. The stupid phrasing seemed to be rooted in the Fed where stupidity reigns supreme.
From McDonald’s to the Mayo Clinic, customer service/patient care, is a problem. I have had first-hand knowledge of BOTH experiences, and have had to wrangle in BOTH environments to survive! I’m glad you were able to get your insurance and medication issues resolved.
I probably would have told that doctor to "Never mind ... I'll find a doctor who actually cares about their patients. Goodbye." I've been very lucky ... my GP prescribes both of my insulins for a year at a time without question ... all my daughter has to do is call or text him and he sends word to the pharmacy. As re Trump and his latest act of war ... if this doesn't get Congress off their fat arses to impeach him, then I see no hope for the U.S. ... he will start WWIII before this year is out and the Magats will applaud ... 'til they can't find food on the grocery shelves or 'til their children start getting killed. I am deeply ashamed of this country today.

When I got my first pens, I had to ask the doctors office to prescribe needles. Since then I've had to change brands of pens twice. Still use the same needles. Now, I have to change my meter and strips and lancets. Insurance companies like to play musical chairs. I have way more One Touch lancets than I need for the remaining strips.
That news obscured something which could have generational impact on the U.S. economy.
