It's extremely difficult to out-crazy the shit that comes out of the Trump White House

Late last night, around the time a person would tweet while on a bender or call up an ex-girlfriend for a booty call, Donald Trump posted to Truth Social that Joe Biden was executed in 2020 and replaced with clones and robots.

I often see fake quotes on social media attributed to Trump, and it annoys me. It pisses me off because the people who post those things don’t fact-check them, and will reshare because they want to believe them. It pisses me off because if you want to share stupid and insane quotes from Donald Trump, you don’t have to invent them. So when I saw this, I was annoyed that someone was doing it again, or so I thought.

To debunk it, I did a Google search to find it, and holy shit. There was a Newsweek article about it, and it had only been out for a few minutes. It wasn’t fake.

Sure, the claim is fake. Joe Biden was NOT executed by the so-called Deep State and replaced with clones and robots. What was real is that Donald Trump reshared the conspiracy theory from a pro-MAGA outlet. The outlet got it from the Babylon Bee, which is a right-wing Christian satirical site. Think The Onion, but much less funny.

Here’s the crazy part: Newsweek wrote, “There is no credible evidence to support any part of this claim. Biden has made numerous live public appearances, participated in unscripted press conferences, and engaged in direct interactions with world leaders, all of which would be impossible to convincingly fake with current technology. Additionally, such an extensive cover-up would require the complicity of thousands of people across the political spectrum, including Republicans, journalists, and foreign officials—an implausible scenario.”

The crazy thing about that paragraph is that in the New Normal, Newsweek had to include it. Where’s the disclaimer that Deep State Lizard People aren’t using babies as a pizza topping?

Here’s the extra crazy part: The claim that Joe Biden was replaced by a clone isn’t new. It’s just new to most sane people.

I did a search of #BidenClone on Twitter, just to see if MAGAts were defending Trump’s post, and I found more than that. I found that MAGAts and QAnon fucknuts have been pushing this theory since at least 2023.

Finally, here’s the extra extra crazy part: Trump’s cabinet isn’t enacting the 25th Amendment to remove him. Republicans are calling this out. Trump could be barking at the doorbell, and Republicans will still put cult over party.

Maybe they’ve been replaced with clones by the Lizard People.
