Baby Goebbels
Stephen Miller is a wannabe Nazi
Note: this cartoon was drawn yesterday, but held for a day for the cartoon about the murder by ICE of Renee Nicole Good in Minneapolis.
White House advisor Stephen “Baby Goebbels” Miller went on CNN Monday, where he had a wild and contentious meltdown with anchor Jake Tapper (who is a subscriber to this blog).
Miller defended the decision by the Trump regime not to install Venezuelan opposition leader and Nobel Peace Prize winner María Corina Machado as a temporary leader of the country.
Miller screamed, “All Venezuela experts agree that it would be absurd and preposterous for us to suddenly fly her into the country and to put her in charge, and the military would follow her, and the security forces would follow her. This isn’t this, is not a serious — it’s not even a serious question.”
It sounded like a serious question to me, and it should be asked since there are reports saying she was only snubbed because she didn’t insist that Toddler-in-Chief win the Peace Prize instead of her.
Stephen Miller and Donald Trump are not serious people, even with the full might of the United States military behind them. One of the reasons Donald Trump ordered the military operation to snatch Nicolas Maduro out of his bed in the middle of the night was because Trump saw a video of him dancing and felt he was mocking him. In Trump's defense, they were both versions of the jack-off dance. Some people would have felt it was the sincerest form of flattery.
Trump, Maduro, both versions were still better than Sean Spicer's moves on Dancing with the Stars.
Tapper triggered another angry rant from Miller when he asked about there being free elections in Venezuela, with Miller, screaming, “The reason why I was giving you that speech, which I know you didn’t want to hear, is because you’re approaching this from the wrong frame. This neoliberal frame that the United States’s job is to go around the world and and demanding immediate elections to be held everywhere immediately, all the time, right away.” Miller had just given some absurd lecture on the Monroe Doctrine and the “Donroe” Doctrine.
“No, that’s not what I think,” Tapper shot back. “But you invaded the country! We went into the country, and we seized the leader of Venezuela.” Jake, the Trump regime doesn't even want free elections here. Trump was talking about canceling the midterms this week.
Miller screameded back, “Damn straight we did! Because the point, Jake, is we’re not going to let tinpot communist dictators send rapists into our country, send drugs into our country, send weapons into our country, okay? And we’re not going to let a country fall into the hands of our adversaries.”
There has also been talk of the regime invading Colombia, Cuba, Mexico, and even Greenland. Miller's wife, Katie, had earlier posted a meme on X of Greenland superimposed with an American flag. During the Tapper interview, Miller said, “Obviously, Greenland needs to be part of the U.S.”
But why should Greenland be a part of the U.S.? How is that obvious? Because Donald Trump wants it?
Greenland is a part of Denmark. Denmark is a NATO ally that will allow us to do anything we want in Greenland. If we want to put more soldiers in Greenland, Denmark will allow it. If we want to build more bases or expand the size of the current ones in Greenland, Denmark would allow it. If we wanted more mining rights in Greenland, I'm sure it's something Denmark would negotiate. There is no logical reason for America to acquire Greenland.
I believe Trump wants Greenland just to have it. We've seen photos of his office in Trump Tower, and others from MAGA-Lardo, and it is clear that the man is a hoarder. He had no reason to want to own classified documents except to own them. There is no reason to take the large island by force or purchase it, which would be a very stupid expense when we don't need it. I believe the regime is feeling cocky and invincible after the capture of Maduro and his wife. They also believe they own the entire hemisphere and can do whatever the hell they want.
Near the end of his contentious interview with Jake Tapper, Miller said, “Let’s acknowledge, Jake, that what we've witnessed under the leadership of President Trump this last week is one of the greatest foreign policy and military victories this country has ever had."
Sure, it was an impressive military operation, but “one of the greatest military victories this country has ever had?” That's a little overblown, don't you think? Does anyone actually believe this victory is comparable to D-Day, Midway, Bunker Hill, Gettysburg, Battle of the Bulge, Washington's victory after crossing the Delaware, Yorktown, Vicksburg, Iwo Jima, or Okinawa? I don't even believe it's comparable to the time after being chased down by the Baseball Furies, the Warriors unarmed them and beat their asses with their own bats in Riverside Park.
Fun fact: When I was in the eighth grade, my friends and I dressed as the Baseball Furies for Halloween. Unfortunately, most people in our little tiny town of Americus, Georgia, had never seen the film The Warriors and thought we were a real street gang. Cops were called.
Stephen Miller seriously needs a history lesson. These jackasses like Miller are so busy and in a rush to heap praise on Trump that they never realize how ridiculous they sound.
I am surprised that Miller got through the Tapper interview without speaking in German.
Creative note: I am not entirely confident in my German in this cartoon, so I half expect a speaking German reader to yell at me. If I do get yelled at, I hope it's in German.

My husband was a kid and lived across the river from Germany in the 1930's--40's. He has always said, since Trump came on the scene, that he has seen and heard this before. I'm very sad that I just lost him, but in a way I'm glad he doesn't have to see it again.
Miller needs a tribunal.
