Every time I read about the latest antics of Destructo Don, I think of this well-known quote from The Great Gatsby:

"They were careless people, Tom and Daisy -- they smashed up things and creatures and then retreated back into their money or their vast carelessness or whatever it was that kept them together, and let other people clean up the mess they had made."

So, just to be clear, it’s a crime walk on the grass at the reflecting pool, but it’s ok to annihilate the rose garden and the south lawn of the White House.

No, there is no clear... no clear rules, no clear logic, no clear water.

You’ve got that right!

Maybe someone threw an algae filled sandwich into the pool!

Maybe tiny sharks are pulling the lining off the pool’s floor and walls!

Could be Greenlandic subversives!

I saw a blurb this morning that another duck has been killed by orange snake's deadly pool

And there is a news feed on YouTube from Florida that ICE had taken an older immigrant and left his TWO DOGS in his apartment without notifying anyone about the poor things. After a week, someone noticed. The poor dogs, one small, the other about a lab size, had torn the apartment apart looking for food and water. I find myself thinking this has probably happened more than once.

Those people have no souls, just like their leaders.

Yes, they have found several dead ducks and ducklings. A possibility is blue-green algae which produce toxins. He just had to sit back and do just about nothing and all would have gone well during his second term.

The death of ducks is horrible. It might have happened before and in nearly 50 years in DC, I don’t remember reading it. I’ll search cause I’m curious.

About ICE: the cruelty has no boundaries. Have the dogs now been helped? And the man? Taken with nothing? It is all beyond immoral and unjust.

The dogs, yes. I assume by the local shelter. The man wasn't mentioned in that short blurb.

Joan Eisenstodt's avatar

It just gets worse. The dogs will grieve. The man will be bereft and treated horribly.

I admit it.

It was me.

I borrowed Harry Potter’s invisibility cloak and I got my buddy Captain Kirk to use the Enterprise transporters to teleport me to the reflecting pool.

Once there I used a jackhammer to tear up the blue paint. While I was at it I dumped a million gallons of algae into the pool.

I did more, but I’m keeping the details secret so that the FBI can verify my verisimilitude.

Excellent explanation of dozy don’s Idiocy.

Daffy Duck sets the scene perfectly.

Is it my imagination, or is the duck saying "Quack" directing his remark to KASH, which would be entirely accurate.

Will somebody please send an SOS? Peezy's in trouble!

Watch out for those radical left lunatics! They just can't be trusted!

In articles and substacks, social media posts, the blue in the Reflecting Pool has been referred to as “lining” and as “paint.” Paint would flake - even in water? How would a liner come apart in pieces?

The nonsense from the WH said first that a 250’ gash, then a 350’ gash was made in the pool. (And another somewhere in the former Rose Garden, now the patio with umbrella tables - too close to each other for a private conversation.)

None of this makes an ounce of sense and the murder of ducks should be a crime.

It is confusing, as I've heard both descriptions used: paint and lining.

Joan Eisenstodt's avatar

And another WaPo article says “paint.” I think Trump has no idea and clearly those purportedly selling their “chunks of” don’t either. Neither paint or a liner would last 100 trump years! Thanks, Clay.

So the "genius", the most intelligent man to ever hold the presidency (his words, zero proof) has in the past few weeks been outsmarted first by the Iranians and now by single celled algae.

Traitor tot has become so unpopular that the ducks have turned against him. Even Mallard Fillmore hates him by this point. We should have listened to Daffy Duck all along who warned us back in 2015 that he was quote, "despicable".

I remember seeing tRump's people pouring lots of hydrogen peroxide into the pool to control the algae. tRump was blaming vandals for stripping off the paint, but it is well known that hydrogen peroxide is a very effective paint remover: "...hydrogen peroxide is an effective, eco-friendly paint remover. Rather than dissolving the paint, it acts as a strong oxidizer that breaks down the binders. This causes the paint to lose its adhesion, bubble, and peel" (seen in Google search).
